Never had the trout, but had the Hinkle shad wrapped by Stanley Wheat. It was given to me by Swimbait Legend Johnny Ellis. I casted it off on 20 lb Big game. Prettiest bait I ever owned. I literally got tears in my eyes crying 😭😭😭. I have alot of killer baits, but that was the baddest bait I had!

I never lost a bait THAT expensive but I did pretty much lose all faith in my knots and/or the lines I use lol. Too many times I casted off a bait on the first day I got it when I was learning to throw big baits. I don't make enough money to be casting them off lol so I've now limited myself to like sub 4oz baits that don't cost over $80

I feel like curved scales and fins adds the bait some sort “resistance” and making it easier to manage the glide unlike ones that shoots out, and slides out more then you wanted every end of the glide. You can still get it to slide out when you want to controlling the slack of line.. such a well made bait.

@hairybass480

Kinda like a jerk bait. No real wrong time to fish it. More of a water condition factor comes into play but not to say that its as effective in all seasons. Always worth a shot in my opinion.
@corvette_jake7225
2 жыл бұрын
@@hairybass480 appreciate it. Do you know if I should be using a swivel with them? A guy told me to use a swivel so my line doesn't stay twisted when the bait helicopters on a cast, do you recommend this as well?
@hairybass480
2 жыл бұрын
@@corvette_jake7225 to be honest i have never tried a swivel. I have found that I retie often enough that line twist isn't such a huge issue. I am no expert so there is that. Glidebaits are awesome though they seems to draw big fish in for a bite or atleast a closer look. They do require a ton of focus and paitence though. Its not a magical bait but the experience is unlike fishing any other type of baits. These big bait guys know their stuff and have put in their time to give us this info. Crazybassfisher aka "The king" has been one of my favorite dudes to watch. Him, Manny chee and Working Class Zero are all really good dudes to watch.
