As a fan of steampunk genre and Treasure Planet, this movie is a must watch for anyone who likes steampunk media like Fullmetal Alchemist, Steam boy and Treasure Planet. France really cooks some great 2D animated movies, I mean they have Gobelins, one of the greatest animation schools in the world.

Last exile. Minimum 7 episodes. But it's dieselpunk. The punk part means scarcity of resources despite the contrasting abundance like in Cyberpunk, so certain problems become trivial while everything more mundane is a huge issue. Now we have stuff like Magicpunk in Dorohedeoro, and I might argue Desert Punk and Trigun. Zombillenium and Nimona also fit.

It's just global. US culture specifically promotes racialized memes like "anime" so the only source of alternative media is from that one giant colony called Japan, and maybe Korea. Anywhere that work like animals to bloat generic GDP values, and make US economy richer by taking huge slices just for distribution. That's why you don't get Hong Kong or Taiwanese or Brazilian "anime", USA hates all those friends of Osamu Tezuka. You just get them to work on Velma. It's like China making you work on Miracle Star, or alterantively USA canceling John K. to promote Spongebob as the corporate alternative.

I saw a screening of this movie in a small community theater that featured movies from smaller artists and activist groups that did not l necessarily have the money to put their movie in big box theaters. I saw it with my mom and brother in 2015 when it came out and me and my brother have always wanted to watch it again but couldn’t remember the name. I’d honestly forgotten about it until now, such an obscure childhood memory coming back because of a bionic pig vid. Anyway boutta call big bro up so we can rewatch this movie as adults. Appreciate the memories!

It has been a few years now that i just started to lose interest on movies/animations/TV shows because they generally don't make me feel the same anymore, y'know, that little sparkle of excitment and curiosity u can get while watching something and really diving in to the story. Hey Pig! Just wanted to share a movie recommendation that is one of my favorites! I recently watched The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, And The Horse on Apple TV plus and fell in love. The beautiful animation combined with the story is something I cannot even begin to describe. It’s truly an underrated piece of art with an amazing message and great character. And though I’m a bit ashamed to admit it, it even made me tear up a bit while watching. I highly recommend 👍

I remember this movie quite vividly. We were searching for some junk movie to help us stay awake for one reason or another, and I guess the lizard people gave us that impression. However, upon watching the film, we found it gorgeous in both art and story, and I was sad that I couldn’t remember the title or find it again. But, I’m glad Bionic holds true to covering the things I can hardly remember and bring a new audience to them ^^
