Did you frame blend the video? You may have forgotten the option.

isn't fps on youtube locked to 60fps?
@tngy69
Жыл бұрын
thats why we need to render it on a video editing software. essentially pulling 144 fps down to 60fps while keeping the extra frames in place (frame blending), thus giving the motion blur effect.

so when you render with these settings is the video still at 144fps even though you change the timebase fps to 60 and render it at 60 is the basis of the clip still 144? And what is the difference between timebase fps and clip fps/obs fps?
@tngy69
Жыл бұрын
- 144fps down to 60fps. what frame blending does is to put excess frames into a frame itself. in this case, there would be 2.4 frames visible in a single frame because u "blend" it. - the timebase fps is the final output video's fps. the obs recorded clip are able to capture the actual game at 144fps because hey, ur game is running for example 144+fps, you can make obs capture all those frames then render all of those frames in a 60fps video so that you would see it in a youtube video.
@Strater117
Жыл бұрын
@tngy69 oooooooohhhhhhhh thx bro but does the 144fps still play a role in the recording? e.g if I was to increase my obs fps to say 460 (I wish), would the end result look even better when following the same process?
@tngy69
Жыл бұрын
@@Strater117 the higher the fps, the more frames in a single frame which means a far more smoother video. althought this is not only the main reason but also if you want to slow down the footage, you can do so without actually making it look stuttery
