@Aloofgoblinoid

In most of the USA, if an employer gives you a document asking for personal information you feel is unreasonable or potentially illegal, say, for instance, they request you sign over your private medical records, write "V.C." with your signature. V.C. is legally upheld in court as signing under duress, and can absolutely nullify the document, in part or in whole. This also works for signing legal affidavits and testimonials, as well as messing over CPS if they ask you to waive your Constitutional rights. Though, be advised, if you do not have a clear, articulable reason for believing you can be doxxed in some way for not signing, that is not under duress and can get you in seriously hot water legally, like lying under oath and perjury hot water. Edit: adding context and spelling mistakes

All i've learned from this, is factory jobs are alot more lenient and reasonable than i thought. At least at my job. First off we get 18 call ins, each call in is worth 1 point, if you have good attendance after 3 weeks, you get 1 point back. It's 22$ an hr and we overtime, even tho we almost never work weekends. CNA’s are glorified babysitters, as are most nurses. This isn’t meant to be an insult towards you, it is yet another low skill industry that was cornered by the higher education system when the reality is that the majority of the profession should be treated more like an apprenticeship. In my perfect would it would look like CNA to LPN in 4 years, maybe sooner if you’re a rock star, then to RN by 10 years. Tell your husband to get involved with your local Marine Corps League. Start helping out with the Toys for Tots drives and brushing elbows with these people. Good luck to y’all and Semper Fi!

To be fair, if it was enough food that the employees didn't have to buy lunch for a good while, I can imagine that being a solid motivator. Just buy enough pizza to serve as their lunch for the next two weeks, or something. Like, I imagine half a pizza worth of slices every day with a medium bag of fries and a drink for two weeks for each employee would be a good bonus? That would be like... I dunno, $12-ish for each employee every day? For a total bonus of like, I dunno, maybe $300 if you round it up.

A bit of math on the over 7 trillion dollars bit: If we round the added billionaire wealth DOWN to 7 trillion and rounded the us population UP to 340 million, every single person in the US could get $20,588 if that money was redistributed. And remember, that's the lowest number. Heres even more math: The richest 1% control somewhere from 36.2 - 41.5 trillion according to my research, and the estimated US population is about 339,997,000. If we used that lower number and redistributed even Half of their wealth (and you have to have a net worth of at least 13.7 million to be a 1%er so they would still have 6.85 million to their name each on the low end), each 99%er American (all 336.6 million of us) would recieve $107,546. Which Ike, don't point out to me that the rich would just recoup their money by price gouging everything to hell. I know. I'm just pointing out the low end of what value is being hoarded away from us at the bottom and how fucking artificial it is that we have desperate, starving people. We have enough to go around. It's just kept in fucking untouchable dragon piles.

Taxation is theft and the reason working sucks is we live under corporatism not anarcho capitalism a.k.a. a free market, that's why jobs suck, they don't compete they monopolize, leaving little to no alternative to both workers and consumers. If you want a better life in general we need to get rid of government and institute anarcho capitalism so we can all get fucking rich, the reasons this hasn't been done is schools indoctrinate everyone to think the government is the best we'll get, and like living in the matrix there are those who fear change, not to mention those on top fearing their loss of power and control and the consequences that may come for them should their tyrannical rule fall apart, don't be sheep be informed

I am so tired of these living wage arguments, don't these people realize that as their minimum wage goes up the cost for everything goes up to compensate so they don't actually end up making more they just end up paying more at the same time keeping their income to cost ratio relative to what it is now. It's like the entire argument about how big companies don't pay their fair share in taxes, when nobody seems to actually put two and two together and realize that companies don't pay taxes they build that cost into the products they sell therefore everything just goes up when their taxes go up. Quite literally everything that you buy has a cost value attached to it, all of the taxes the government levies against anything or eventually paid by you the consumer.

strongly disagree. It’s all about choice. Women have the right to choose what they do with their bodies, and after being a dancer, for almost a decade, I can tell you, without a doubt that I had more bodily autonomy and authority over my work, my money than I ever did working at an office, etc. of the many, many jobs I’ve had, it was my favorite and I look back at those times with fondness. People should have the right to choose what they do with their body, what they do for work, even if a complete stranger doesn’t agree with that, like you. That’s why we support choice, and if you are uncomfortable with sex work, you don’t ever have to partake on either business end, but let other people and make choices for themselves. And reserve judgment for people who are oppressing, harming, stealing, or negatively influencing others. Sex work is most often, a consensual, business transaction, whereas both parties, give and receive what they feel comfortable with. So yes, support sex workers.
