I thought that the winter weather in Colder Than of Late was a bit far fetched, until I remembered the date in the rent book.It was a week before I was born. The weather was so bad that transport couldn't run, including buses.I was born in a hospital that was quite isolated,my father wanting to see his wife and new daughter decided to walk the 10 miles to the hospital over the fields. It took him several hours walking through snow over his knees. When he got there he was the only visitor in the hospital.

I’ve heard most of these before. Right now, ‘The Fatal Flaw’ is starting and it has a great premise. Although unlikely, the plot could happen. It is an ingenious plan of manipulation that hatches behind the scenes of a run of the mill writer, Matthew Bradford, aka Matt Brand. I love the character Marlene Shapiro! She pulls no punches, will do whatever it takes in putting her experience to work for monetary purposes and has huge balls! I think she’s one of great characters in radio dramas. Now, to continue listening. It’s just after the beginning when Shapiro makes the scene. Enjoy, as I will.

I’m really enjoying these! My mum and grandmother used to listen and I was hooked very young. So good to hear them now.

Loving this , great selection - bit of confusion through nodding off - and on - into the next drama , it reminds me of rewinding cassette tapes (once upon a time back when) to find the beginning of a certain track . Colder Than of Late , and The Fatal Flaw are my faves so far - the latter would - ironically - make a hilarious film , prob already has..?

Thank you again Sir, superb stories. PS Slightly strange though to hear the BBC six o clock news from about 1965. Made a nice interlude, better than an advert..

I absolutely love BBC radio & plays. I like this format of continuous play instead of having to scroll down for the next & next. Wonderful step back in time with these.

I'm single and there are more than 10 hours in any one day! Those of us who are old enough to remember these plays, when radio was far more important, go to sleep with these plays, do the ironing, do the housework, do marathon cooking sessions, even nap to them, then come back to them if interrupted. I drive to them and walk to them depending on how riveting they are. I have my own collection of 200 aıudio tapes (it was expensive). I collected them over many years and cannot digitise my collection. Does this answer your question?
