Actually my brother showed me Sam the Cook Grilled Shrimp Recipe and I have of course cooked it and it was wonderful... In fact this weekend I will be making this for the first time for my Son's family down at the lake... Boy are they going to be surprised...... It is so good.

Thing is thats an actual dish, and is made with wagyu only, in japan. You dont make it with sirloin, or a new-york, its as dish literally meant for waygu. Also you can get a cheap but similar version of waygu in the us. Taste like it, not as tender, but melt in the mouth tender.

I find it is at least half the cost of olive oil when I buy it in the bulk food section. Maybe check that area if your local store offers it. The pre-bottled stuff does seem pricey, but maybe it’s because there are less brands than olive oil?

Mayo is what I use when I toast bread. It is, after all, just eggs and fat (and vinegar/citrus acids), so it makes perfect sense to coat shrimps.

1) I love mayonnaise on anything and if that Japanese mayo is as good as you say, I will put it in my coffee! 2) There was one shrimp missing at the end. 3) I couldn't skip the commercial in the middle of the video! We made this and it was fantastic. We substituted Hellmanns Mayo for the Kewpie and we didn't have that togarashi so I popped in some siracha and old bay. Shrimp on the grill is always a winner!

The Japanese pepper was slow in the mail so I substituted Aleppo pepper and it worked great. Friends raved? I put on pepper after torching the shrimp to preserve color. Thanks Sam and Max!

Fyi- my family has used general mayo and lemon pepper on halibut or other fish on the grill for years.... the lemony mayo and seasoning is the bomb! I will look for you Japanese seasoning in my local Asian grocery and try this soon!

Nothing apart from maybe grain size. Just a more chunky salt. Think sea salt flakes. It's an very American thing, the rest of the world say salt, sea salt, rock salt and then pink Himalayan salt.
