There is an option to follow the perimeter back to the charging station. Tap icon in top right on the app and look towards the bottom of that menu. Select the Robot tab. You can set it to "direct path" or "follow the perimeter." This should fix that for you. Unless this only affects the path it takes to recharge and not after a completed task. But it should do what you set it regardless.

I have 2 Luba 1 models. The 5000 and a 3000. I have a new Yarbo coming in October to take over, and the Lubas will be backup mowers and only help out on side jobs or to get the jobs done faster. My 5000 is eecently went back to Mammotion to get an axle fixed that broke, but they told me water got inside and was too bad to replace and would have to send me a replacement. Unfortunately, they told me they don't currently have any in stock, so I'll have to wait until they get one to send me. Then, when that comes back or when the Yarbo arrives, whichever comes first, I'll have to send the 3000 to them for an accordian mower module seal that has a puncture hole. These seals are rubber, but there is no rough coating, so they aren't that durable, and a stick can get wedged in there and make a whole as mine did. At the moment, if you have a large and complex yard with hills, Yarbo is likely the best. And it is for sure the best for multi-purpose uses, as it will also show blow my driveway in the winter. Either way, if you have the money, I recommend a Yarbo. Their customer service is also superior to Mammotion.

Honest review from a Luba 2 owner. This machine will require babying and troubleshooting in the beginning. I don't think an elder person should own this. China still sucks in customer support, I hope they can fix it. If something doesn't work, you are on your own to surf reddit to find solutions. But after setting it correctly, well it works flawless. I wish they would be listening their customer feedback to improve the software. Option: Leave charging station 1.5 meters if satalites can't be fixed. Everyone prefers the charging station next to their house wall hence poor connection. This option would solve the issue.

After watching dozens of videos about this machine, it's always the same thing: it's great, it's brilliant, blah blah blah... In short, it's the best... And every time, they're sponsored videos with machine loans or donations... But what about after-sales service? No idea (looking it up on the net, it doesn't seem the easiest thing to do)? What about long-term reliability? Idem: no idea... What about battery life after 1 or 2 years? Same answer... Mammotion seems to have quite a big marketing policy on KZitem with lots of machine 'testers'. Let's wait a bit for some honest reviews...

I have had the Luba 1st gen 1000 for about a year. He was an honest review. Pros: 1. So far it's been a solid build. I live in Tennessee, I do not have a cover for it. It gets rained on and snowed on, and I've not had an issue with it. 2. Once the grass is down to size, it does a decent job. 3. The amount of things that you can do inside of the app is awesome. You can adjust the speed, the width of the overlap, cut height up to 2.7 inch since it's first gen, and a few different cut patterns. There's also the ability to schedule your cuts. Cons: 1. The grass builds up in between the blade and the rotor. This causes the blades to become fixed in a set position, instead of being loose so that when they spin they "open up." I have to unscrew each blade to get the grass out and then screw the blade back on. 2. Because of the above issue, these do not do well if the grass is wet. So, what happens a lot in my area is, it can rain for several days and the grass become extremely long and I have to use my regular mower to get the grass down to size, before I can begin using the LUBA. Kind of defeats the purpose of the robotic mower. 3. Because it's an RTK it has to have the antenna mounted high. Even with it mounted above my roof, because I have some trees, it loses signal a lot. With mine, when it loses signal it just stops and will sit there until it regains signal. I eventually just had to quit try mowing in certain areas. They did not advertise that until I open the box. If you have a flat open area where it doesn't rain a lot, it would be perfect. 4. Having to change out the blades every 4 to 6 weeks is frustrating. It costs about $25 for a set of new blades. 5. I'm frustrated they didn't make the first gen capable of being upgraded to the second gen. Having to spend another two plus $1,000 a year later for an upgraded version is ridiculous. Overall, I think this could be a great machine if they got rid of the rtk feature and went with lidar and other technology that would allow it to map on its own and go under trees and or shaded objects.

I like it but still am probably going to wait a bit. They need to engineer the next version to be very user serviceable with great parts support. Even if it is a big redesign it will save them from having to establish local dealer networks. Most people spending this amount of money are concerned about uptime. There really isn’t any reason why it can’t be made to be serviceable like my push mower or steamdeck. Make it modular and upgradable and they will own the market. People will pay for the quality and ease of repair.

Nice update, although I'd liked to have seen a demo of the LUBA 2 pattern cutting such as cutting designs into the lawn versus just striping. The Stars & Stripes for the 4th of July or putting in things like "Happy Birthday wife/daughter" or other messages would be awesome. Still REALLY looking forward to more updates on the robotic reel mower for my Zoysia lawn. If it had GPS/RTK, I'd have already paid into the startup. Being able to mow at night and keep straight enough for better stripes would put me over the edge to making that purchase. That 6,000 sq. ft. limit based on light is a little too low for this unit to work for my ~14,000 sq. ft. lawn. My degree is in electronics so I wonder why they don't put some kind of powerful LED on the mower to allow it to better cut in dim light or even at night. Watching this reel mower design for updates.

@@pestandlawnginja Pre-emergent sanity test. Have you ever considered doing a preemptive weed seed killing several months before seeding/overseeding? I know Mesotrione does this to some degree. Last year I did a 600 sq. ft. test bed of Rye/KBG using Meso as a pre-em and post-em, starter fert, and watering to make seeds grow. Drought and heat killed enough of that test bed that I killed that and a total of 2K and started over with Zentirh Zoysia, and even a year later, the weed pressure in this area is almost non-existent. 2 ft over is a very thick bed of goosegrass which no herbicide will touch without killing the Zoysia seedlings. Shame we're not closer. My lawn runs the gambit where you'd want to test these robotic mowers on. 5K Zoysia in the front, and in the back, 7K random warm season annual weeds that would be a tough test, and 2K of newly planted Zenith Zoysia and Midnight KBG. Hail Mary hoping one or both establish before winter so the dogs don't' make a muddy mess all winter. Hurricane Debby didn't help...

Sup man! Just had a question for ya. I’ve recently had a new septic system where some of the fill they used that was mixed with the loam is full of rocks, then seeded in the midst of the summer. I was surprised to see some of the seed germinate but it’s definitely gonna need some help. I’ve cleared out a big portion of the larger rocks but there’s still more to come I’m sure after I keep watering.I’m kindve on a budget so I was wondering if the easiest method would be to just buy one of those compost spreaders I’ve seen you used mixed with seed for the best possible result? Seems like a better shot at seed to soil contact even when it’ll cost more for less. Help if you can! Thanks!

With the update, RTK goes to network as default so it will have blue color and it wont communicate with your robot. - If your RTK is blue, change the communication settings. All the models are essentially the same. The only thing different is which firmware they give you, which is the only thing limiting how much each one can mow. If a user figures out how to force firmware onto the cheaper end model, they could save money and have the exact same thing as the more expensive model. This is one thing I don't like about the company, side from poor customer service(which does seem to be improving if you reach out to them in every way possible). More expensive models should have more hardware capabilities and not only be limited by software.

I can see future landscaping plans providing for charging stations and easy access to all grass areas. I can see electric gates in the future and sensors that make sure the dog(s) is inside and locking the doggy door. Opening and closing the gate. I would say 98% of all lawns have a gate between front and back and many In Utah are multi level and no way would a robot mower be able to get from front to back.
