These are the kind of cartoons that I really appreciate, it was funny when I was young and still funny now that I'm an adult. While some cartoons are really just for kids, the humor and writing on this just like the old spongebob episodes, chowder, gumball, rocko's modern life, cow and chicken, ed, edd'n eddy, etc. they have that mature vibe into it. Just shows how brilliant the writers are for these shows.

those were the shows of my childhood. dexter's lab had some clever writing too. in 2012 i started dating this chick 4.5 years younger than me and she had a slightly different cartoon experience. We ended up being together for 10 years, living the two of us for almost 7 years too. It was good most of the time, really good actually. she introduced me to adventure time, gumball, chowder, flapjack, regular show, clarence, and specially over the garden wall. oh and when samurai jack came back with the final season we gobbled that shit together (that ending though hits hard). i introduced her to anime and japanese culture. her favorite show became hunter x hunter 2011. I also introduced her to cowboy bebop, samurai champloo, mushishi, jojo's bizarre adventure. damn we loved those and every year we made a rewatch, it was our ritual. i remember when we started watching those new HBO specials of adventure time, duuuude. i remember watching the second special launched where its focused on bubblegum princess/bonnibel and marceline and some crystal city or whatever, and then at the end Finn just appears, middle age, with a Jake's tattoed in his chest, without his pal. We were in shock, when I pointed to her the tattoo and told her probably Jake died, she started bawbling her eyes out right there! Yhe last episode of AT we watched together was the episode were Finn is old, dies and goes to the underworld and meets Jake again. We cried like babies, and then they reincarnate! it was so beautiful... she was my best friend in the world. That episode felt like a good way to end our Adventure Time experience because that cartoon was one of the first topics of our convos, along with Tenacious D "Tribute" back in blackberry chat days... we broke up around this time the past year. we split paths march 19th after almost seven years of sharing the same bed. it was wild. but i'll never forget those good moments watching shows, movies and enjoying them, always dissecting and analysing parts, plots, characters. that felt like we had a deep connection and a common ground that binded us. Now a whole country divide us. She has another bf and has moved on, very fast, as is usual of dumpers. Meanwhile I'm here stuck at my parents house sulking and ruminating. But thats life... Anyways.... I just wanted to vent. Aimless grief is no joke.
