Awesome job on making the review, in my opinion the MM200 is also the winner, also wondering about the inspiring and beautiful piece of music you playing at the intro? 😊

my black willard is my first pvd watch after 12 years, match it with orange rubber strap. I like the look and it's fun to wear with casual outfit and fit well on my small wrist.

Really appreciate it Jason- it’s hard to pick between the two but the MM200 is more suited to have the Black series treatment it shrinks the watch down imho

Intro is like a documentary. Keep up the good work man! PVD…. I don’t think I would buy a PVD coated case as scratches or scuffs would be glaring like a sore thumb . . . However, these variants do look dope. . .

Thanks for the comment Daryl. I am of the same thought as you and only time will tell how the diashield coating will hold up with the pvd as well. I am daydreaming of these being tegimented like Sinn

Ha funny how you mentioned sinn. I only have 1 pvd watch and it happens to be a Sinn 856 S UTC all Black tegimented. It's holding up remarkably well and time accuracy and legibility sinn like. But mm200 most definitely a better looking watch (I have the iriomote).

Great review! I went with the 62 MAS. This is my first PVD coated watch and will not be my daily wear. The NATO strap is the best I have used. The rubber strap is well done. I look forward to the ownership.

Definitely agree with you at the beginning about these watches looking cool but not being daily wears. I’d have thought for someone with multiple watches, this wouldn’t be such an issue as you would probably have other more “daily watches”. For me though, I’m still on my long hunt for my first “proper watch”, so this is somewhat more of a dealbreaker

Great review of two very nice Seiko divers. I like the black finish and have owned a couple of similar. The orange touches on the bezel and hands look great - and the bright orange lumed minute hand is excellent! I think the nato and rubber straps again look great and are the perfect choice for a black case watch. I always wear natos single pass, so all ok with me. Hard to choose without trying them on. The 62 is on trend and has a nice vintage aesthetic. However, the MM200 may be better for my 7.25” wrist. I think these have not been selling well as they seem very available and well discounted in the UK.

Got delivery of my SPB255 last week and was so disappointed. The bezel on the watch was not aligned at 12 o'clock, and worse than that is the hour hand doesn't line up to the hour marker until the minute hand is past the 5min marker. How can Seiko drop the ball on quality control on a so called Limited edition that is upwards of $1200?

First, love your channel. Keep it up. These are really nice but I am personally not a fan of DLC. Sinn do tegimented steel which I think is one of the best materials for non scratch robust tool watch use. Of the two shown I think I prefer the one with the 4:30 crown

+1 for the MM200. PVD is a good look on it but I'm curious how's nice polishing (some zeratsu) on regular MM200 is done with pvd? And if seiko extra hardens the pvd to prevent scratching.
@perpetuality
2 жыл бұрын
Seiko is rather nebulous with this information my time spent with both watches I have worn them judiciously and they seem to hold up to regular wear just fine- even changing straps carefully I was presented with no visible marks. This is in part due to seiko adding a hardened coating of up to 500Hv on top of the PVD

Having worn this daily, for the last 5 months or so, I have found a far sleeker way to wear the material strap. If you feed through the first loop, then go over the second loop, and feed the rest of the strap back under itself, then it sits really nice and tight. So go through first loop (as normal) then over the second loop and keep feeding back under itself. Give it a go

Hello SIMO. Just wondering how your watch is wearing? I think these watches look fantastic. I really like the dark color of the pvd coating but worry that it will eventually wear out at any sharp edge.
@simo1747

@@jackprick9797 Honestly, it’s worn fantastically! I’ve literally worn this daily and it’s held it’s original sharpness, fantastically. The amount of times I’ve knocked it and thought “oh no, it’ll have a mark for sure” only to look down and notice no scratching or marks. It really has exceeded my expectations. Lume is elite and I’ve even noticed that the +/- is better than advertised. I really can’t knock this piece, especially for the price point. You won’t be disappointed.

I felt mm200 was the best $1200 auto dive about a year ago but with today's exchange rate, it's possible to get into an oris aquis or sinn 104 if you happened to be traveling to europe but don't live there (so you get tax refunded). MM200 has the best stainless steel polishing (zeratsu, a small area but almost mirror like) but movement just not the most accurate. Aquis lugs design makes a big watch wear smaller and so comfortable. And sinn has none of the blings but you can just read the time, so easily and quickly, and it's very accurate. If you only want seiko then MM200 to me is the best bang at $1200, but if you are open and have a chance to visit Europe soon, you definitely can get high quality Swiss or German for that.
