Hi Albert! I’m just wondering which drone you think will be better for me. This one or the Cetus x? I’ve flown DJI drones for about a year and a half so i know my way around cinematic drones as well. Also which drone do you think is overall faster and better in performance wise regardless of battery life?
@AlbertKimTV
10 ай бұрын
Cetus X has more performance, but the Aquila16 has more flight time per battery. Hard to say which one is better for you. If you've been flying DJI drones for a while, either one will probably be fine. The experience is just different between the two. I would watch my Cetus X review and see which one you like better. kzitem.info/news/bejne/0Zqs2XuOsKp5h4I

@AlbertKimTV

Not true. I can use the goggles and controller and fly any of my FPV drones just fine. Sure, there's better stuff out there for more money but the goggles and controller in this kit won't hold you back. In the past, the older kits had a worse controller but it's a lot better now.

Nice review :) The question remains how to connect aguila16 with another elrs radio. I don't think there is a betaflight, but some betafpv system... I'm thinking about buying just the drone for my son, but another review shows that it doesn't have full acro, only horizon mode... Can you confirm this?
@kracher7797
10 ай бұрын
It has acro mode, it Works with betaflight configurator, it basically is a betaflight Version made by betafpv
@AlbertKimTV
10 ай бұрын
Full acro mode is called "manual mode" on this setup and I flew it in the flight demo. "Sport mode" is the same as horizon mode. The firmware on this is custom made by BETAFPV. I don't think it's open source like Betaflight. The ELRS receiver on the drone can be bound up with other ELRS 3.x transmitters if you want to upgrade later.

I'm new to FPV and don't have much money to spend. All the information on the web says this hobby is a bottomless pit of spending. Can you offer any suggestions on how to get into this hobby on an extreme budget? All the advice from the FPV community is nothing but discouraging.
@grantogard2271
10 ай бұрын
I just made this recommendation to my cousin’s wife because she wants to get my cousin into fpv for Christmas. The Cetus X rtf kit seems like a great entry point. It’s very affordable and the ELRS controller and analog goggles can grow with you or you can upgrade them later. It’s pretty much the cheapest way into the hobby. You’d be hard-pressed to beat a $60 controller, $70 goggles, and a $130 drone plus some batteries and a case. You might be able to buy a comparable setup second hand to save a bit, but it can be risky. FPV can be a bottomless pit of money for a few reasons, but they can be mitigated. Partially, flying fpv has some operating costs because batteries wear out, props break, and sometimes bigger things break like an arm, frame, duct, motor. You kind of have to constantly have a supply of replacement parts just to stay in the air. This can be mitigated by flying a smaller quad with prop guards, flying more conservatively to crash softer/less, and storing your batteries at storage voltage. You are also tempted to spend more if you enter the hobby with cheaper gear. Better goggles, a better controller, or a better quad can be very tempting. Additionally, new products release all the time so even if you have top of the line stuff you’ll still have better things to buy soon enough. You can mitigate this by not caring about upgrades and just enjoying what you have. If you can avoid FOMO, you can have 98% as much fun. It doesn’t have to be a money pit at all.

That would increase the cost to about $300. People they are targeting for this product are very price sensitive so the cheaper they can make this the better. Also, if the beginner pilot wants to later upgrade tot he LiteRadio 3 Pro later, they can easily do so.

@Johnny19853
10 ай бұрын
@@itsgonetoofar I agree with Albert that the cost should be as low as possible. You're someone who already has knowledge about FPV products so your thinking is not in line with the ordinary first timer who thinks drones should cost $25. The lower the cost, the more people will be able to afford starting out. After they get addicted, they can then think about what upgrades to consider. FYI, the Lite Radio 2 SE is a great radio in itself. I have several friends who still use it even after they upgraded their drones so it's more than capable enough for many years.
