Why do think that is? Because women generate huge revenues for many corporations. They are the quintessential cash cows. You keep most of the population ignorant. I'd actually say from 37 onwards its that young. Women really start to see hormone deficiency/imbalances which cause havoc.

After my 3rd child (23 yrs old) I developed serious cramping and cysts. After laparoscopic surgery I was told I had Endometriosis and PCOS. Doctors at that time told me Lupron shots were only way to go. (Age 27). I tried AIP diet which helped immensely with inflammation in my body. At 37 I got pregnant following low carb. I now follow keto (dairy free because dairy triggered cysts) and seed cycling. My cycle for the past year has been regular, 5 days...only 1 day of heavy the rest are spotting, no off moods (I would get super angry and tearful), and no breast tenderness or cramping.

I was deficient on Vitamin D, my symptoms were more related to fatigue. My period was normal and consistent as it has been my whole life. I started vitamin D 5000UI a day and since my first cycle after the supplement my period started to become heavier every cycle. By the third cycle after supplementation my period was lasting over 2 weeks. Doctors wanted to put me on birth control instantly with no tests whatsoever. I insisted for tests, all blood tests were normal. They found small fibroids and said that is most likely the reason and wanted to put me on hormones. I then asked to retest my vitamin D to see if it was back to normal and it was. So, I decided to stop the vitamin D and be consistent about taking sun every day. On the first cycle my period is already back to normal. I read the research and we know the benefits of Vitamin D on women with deficiency, we also know it has a direct effect on menstruation and different stages of ovulation BUT we do not know yet the right dosage related to menstrual cycles or what can happen if one were to take too much related again to the period specifically. For me, it was too much for my body and my period got heavy and long. It was frustrating to talk to doctors and everyone blamed my age (34) or that I need to be on birth control and I would tell them it all started when I started the supplement a few months before and I was totally shut down. I think they meant well, I just think is not something anyone knows for sure. If any other women out there has had a similar experience I hope you read this.

Some friends suggested I might have thyroid issues and go have it checked. But I had two MDs who refused to test me for it. One of them suggested I take antidepressant. I finally had to have a hysterectomy . Wasn't till a few years later that I found a doctor who would test my thyroid and sure enough, I had an overactive thyroid. That may have been the reason for the excessive bleeding

Check with your on/gyn, talk to him or her about Endometriosis. You can do your own research too. No woman should go through diabiltating pains any at all during their period. Not to mention heavy bleeding...it's not normal.

I had debilitating cramps and they got less severe after I had my first child . A doctor once told me they’d get better after I had a baby and I was very skeptic but it turned out she was right . The only thing I can do is take 800mg ibprophen to help .

@@carolinelaronda4523 with Endometriosis that can happen. I happened like that for me. I would say still check it out. As pregnancy do improve Endometriosis because you aren't having a period for 9 months. So it help to keep the Endometriosis growth at bay. But you can research and see if you have any of the symptoms that goes with Endometriosis. I know that alot of women go through their lives not knowing thy have it but are silent about the fact that they have very very bad pain and hinders them from doing their normal day to day work. That's not normal at all.

The cramping is usually coming from your colon, when it finally wakes up and moves things forward. The colon is sluggish and asleep after ovulation because of a hormone that "holds onto things", including your food. Cut down on heavy, fibrous foods days (4-5) before your period and you can get things cleared out of your colon beforehand with a glycerin suppository and herbal tea with Senna (3 days in a row).

I had heavy periods , I would actually pass out in the check out line of the grocers. 3 different drs wanted to do a hyst. on me, I did not want to .. but finially did. the results .. that doctors do not tell pts. is urine leaking.. and more female problems. Wished I still had my insides, the doctor did a chop job on me. all new doctors that see, are shocked. doctors should advise women of the many problems that can/ do occure after a hyst.. I did not need a hysterectomy. Sad. but. I did stop bleeding heavy. Other problems started up.

This is why multiple opinions are good to have. Doctors are merely part of your healthcare team. Even as patient, we must lead and advocate for our health. Not just listen to a person literally "practicing" medicine. Always remember that!

Any advice on frequent heavy periods? It seems ever since the doctor removed my IUD. I have been getting frequent periods. I had a pap test done. All is good. Blood work too. I have been on healty keto eating plan for two months now. I'm estergen dominance. So I've watched I think all of your videos on that. And everything else :) I think I have a non-fatty liver, and high insulin. So I'm trying really hard to stay focused on fixing my liver, and digestion problems. But am I missing something? I got the IUD taken out around August. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much Dr.Berg Wendy

That is because they are doing it wrong. It's actually very simple to follow Keto. 70 to 80% of your calorie intake should be from fat. When you take out carbohydrates / sugar you need to replace it with something, which is fat. 😉

@@racheli2598 , you are so welcome! I used Chaste Berry for awhile, but my Progesterone deficiency is too severe. I am now using a prescription 2% Progesterone cream. I also take 300 mg of DIM on a daily basis to address an Estrogen Dominance. It helped! My Estradiol levels were over 400, & after about 6 months of taking DIM my Estradiol is less than 200!

@janthomas9542

I had this and it turns out that my iron levels dropped around my cycle. I would recommend you get a blood test. I am currently taking Beef Liver tablets which have increased my iron levels and my headaches are also decreasing. Hopefully they will stop altogether the longer I take these tablets. I didn’t want to use the synthetic iron tablets hence I opted for beef liver which is more 100% natural (brought from Amazon). Also my energy levels have increased generally and I have a better work out at the gym.
