I blew a hole in my wear ring. So I decided it was a good opportunity for a up grade to the Solas 12/17 impeller. Just finished the install tonight get to test it tomorrow. My ski is completely stock otherwise 2021 trixx

Have to say when you tried the E85 tune with pump gas and didnt get a good running jetski try out the "SPARK Stage 3 Racing 8900" "91+Octane fuel required." it is a whole new jetski with that tune compared to the 8600 tune ive been running that tune with the 12/15 and if you pin the throttle instead of a wheelie it will throw you over backwards put 15hrs on the tune so far so seems pretty safe.

I had no clue you could tune jet skis. New to the whole idea of it compared to cars (F80 M3 Comp. JB4 Tuned) but this is awesome! Looking to get a spark trixx. Are they reliable? What year? Best price point recommended? Thanks everyone!

Welcome and now you do! Anything with a computer and efi can definitely be tuned lol, but my spark 60hp tuned is extremely reliable. The trixx has been so so but still decent. Anything above a 2016.5 is the best years, anything newer is getting better. Used is almost as much as new, end of summer has the best deals. If there is a new ski announcement next week it will mean cheap trixx left and right. Check out my other videos for more information. Cheers!

Either, but I tend to run 91 or 93. Sparks only holds 7 gallons so it really doesn't make too much of a difference in price lol

Still waiting on my 12/15 to ship, doesn't look like much of a difference thou between 12/15 & 12/17 as it still launched you out of the water pretty good. While waiting been looking at getting a worx intake grate might be a add on when I do the ribbon delete just to help keep it in the water on chop. If didn't have to split the haul to install a new grate I would have done it already.

I tried this tune, wear ring stainless, impeller 12/14 and only 7200 rpm on straight away, of course i can get 8600 rpm if i stand it straight up. you wont get that rpm keeping the nose down. show rpm top speed
@WeTryMotorsports

8600 is the max yes, but primarily the name of the tune. What makes it the best is the way the fuel / air ratios are handled with pump gas and the throttle response time. So far it's the best I've seen, but more videos too come. Can't wait to try the e85

you can use the 8600 with regular octane. I just prefer higher end octane for this application. higher octane is normally used with forced induction.

@@WeTryMotorsports definitely understand. I appreciate the quick response and informative. I can do some testing to see the performance loss with 91 or 93 vs 87 with the 8600 tune. It’ll be interesting to see what the difference is.

@@NickSilcox3 yeah I would love to hear about it. I have tried them and haven't noticed much myself tbh but higher octane normally protects internals a bit more for high rpm machines

I was wondering if it was required to have a laptop for the tune to work. Do you have an answer?
@WeTryMotorsports

it's always better to have the laptop, maptuner and the license. you can send out your ECU to get tuned, but i don't like the idea of not being able to flash it back when needed or update your tune
