Ahoj Petře, you mentioned, that the spare spokes were also part of your Hyper 23 SE delivery. Are you sure? I recieved mine Hypers SE few days ago and there were no spare spokes included, which was strange and worrying for me. I contacted Lun, as I tought they just forgot to put it to the box, but I was told, that since spring 2023 spare spokes are no longer part of Hyper's delivery. As the Lun thinks "green" and don't wanna produce anything pointless. That instead of this they wanna provide better custome service if something happens.. You can just order them separately, which is not written anywhere... Anyway, looking forward for ride them and thank you for all your reviews and great work. Je dobre videt, ze i Cesi umi byt kvalitni soucasti mezinarodni youtube cyklisticke sceny😉🤟

Hi Petr, I was sure until your comment. I checked the box, and you're right that it didn't contain spare spokes, just an accessory bag. HYPER 2020 had 4 spare spokes in the package. So I got it mixed up. Thanks for noticing that! As for the decision not to supply the spokes, I totally understand it. I'm guessing that Lún has information from customer data on whether and how often replacement spokes are needed. But it reminds me of Apple and not supplying chargers for iPhones. 😅 Díky za pochvalu. Vážím si toho. Tak třeba někdy na silnici!

@@cyclistshub Yeah, I believe that this decision was made by by some customer survey and that I will not need them ever🙏. But the parable with Iphone charger was accurate :-D

@@cyclistshub about 500Km, but I have similar feedback, low weight, great acceleration, fast speed and slightly less comfortable.

In the video, are you saying Elite Drive wheels are lighter and better for climbs with the same depth rim when comparing with the Hyper? I also read that Drive wheels are not as stiff as the Hyper. Do you feel the same?
@cyclistshub

Yes, they are lighter and better for climbs. I have the 45mm depth which weighs 1300g but it's not sold anymore. The 50mm depth is still lighter than HYPER SE. Yes, they are slightly less stiff than HYPERs. But you will probably won't notice unless you ride them side by side. Feel free to read my in-depth comparison for more details: www.cyclistshub.com/lun-hyper-vs-elitewheels-drive/

How are these compared to Farsport Wave? Can't decide...

Stiffer. Speed and crosswind stability-wise very similar. A little bit worse regarding maintenance due to the proprietary parts.

I bought lun hyper d45, but I never try tubeless.Is it easy to install tubeless tyres?

Yes, it is pretty easy to instal tubeless tires on them. But it also depends on the tires you use. :-)

Are those Hypers hookless? At some point it didn't look like they had the hook. I'd like to know more about the Lun Routte at $700 if you tried them as well. The blue ones look fantastic and would match my bike but it seems like they are pretty heavy.

Hi, all Lún wheels are hooked. I have not ridden the Routte. I actually don't like their design despite I like blue. 😅

@@cyclistshub Thank you. What do you know about Hunt wheels? I ordered them and I'm thinking I'll return them as soon as they arrive. I found lots of criticism but also rumors that they purchase wheels from Winspace manufacturer and label them as their own. By that logic they should be pretty good.

I don't have personal experience with Hunt wheels but they should be good. I have never heard about the thing that Winspace manufactures the wheels for them. They have a free return policy, so try them and you will see. :-)

@@cyclistshub Lots of people focus on the ride feel and speed but I'm focused on the longevity of the bearings and hub performance and am very conflicted in deciding what brand to go with. I have 42mm Giant SLR 1 that came w/ my TCR, but would really like to try mixed depth variation, so I'm looking around.

I see, but in the end, replacing bearings is not that difficult. Feel free to check out my other videos or my website where you find more info about the wheels I tested. 😊

Good quality steel ceramic bearings for me. Consistent performance for 10,000kms Ceramic is only faster for about 500km before the harder ceramic starts to wear the steel race and start to add more and more friction as time goes on. So I wouldn’t unless you’re racing and replacing the bearings regularly.

That's exactly what I've also learned so far. See www.cyclistshub.com/steel-vs-ceramic-bearings/.
