Very useful video. Thank you so much! I just wanted to ask a question about my protein intake. My coach suggested me around 220 gram protein intake in a day. My body weight is around 80 kgs out of which 16% is the fat, I am aiming for around 72-75 kgs in next 6 months. I would like to get a lean body but this protein intake of 220 grams in a day left me puzzled. Your inputs would be highly appreciated.

A 220g protein intake sounds quite high relative to your bodyweight. While it's not necessarily dangerous to eat that much protein, you could eat less protein (~130g/day) and still see all the muscle growth benefits. If you feel good though while eating higher protein and you still have enough space for healthy carbs/fats in your nutrition, then keep it up.

Depends on the person and someone's calorie needs. A good general aim for most people is 3-5g/kg of your bodyweight :)

So I was wondering, would it make more sense to be in a calorie surplus over deficit, to build more muscle, therefore increase your BMR (resting metabolism) and use it to your advantage to burn fat later on?

Being in a slight surplus is my way to go if body fat percentage is below 15%. You build extra muscle and have the benefit of having more lean mass once you want to start a fat loss phase. But for someone >18%, I would advise against maintaining a calorie surplus since it risks going too high in body fat.

@@iWannaBurnFat Ah thank you brother, that's the perfect answer! I'm around 18-19% body fat, so it would be best for me to slightly cut with weight training, until I get to 15% or below, and then I can go into a slight surplus
