On the latest episode of The Solid Verbal College Football Podcast, we dive into the possibility of Brett Yormark and the Big 12 bringing in new sponsorship and private equity dollars to try and erase the gap between the conference and bigger groups like the SEC and Big Ten. This could reportedly include a company like Allstate assuming some portion of the conference's name (like the "Allstate 12" or "Big Allstate Conference") and an infusion of private equity cash, which in turn means an outside firm expects a sizeable return on investment, sooner rather than later. We talk about the possibility of the sport appearing unrecognizable with even more outside influence than we already have, and where we stand now. We also, just to make things a bit lighter, pitch sponsors who may align well with certain conferences and teams.
