The way Seth was used in the storyline was peak story telling, and Roman smiling for a split second while being pinned at the end was just the cherry on top, it’s like he doesn’t care that he’s lost it all because he gained more personally from getting revenge on Seth then he ever did from his reign, it’s almost like he was happy it was over because he felt like Seth turned him into that and he got his revenge so he didn’t have to be it anymore

Mike Chioda has said in interviews that Vince didn't like the officials having a name, character, or being acknowledged basically. I think that's an antiquated ideal of protecting the business. Nothing makes me happier that seeing the clips of Samantha popping, then having to perform, while working through her own emotions.

Seth broke Roman's heart. and Roman never got over that. That is straight up the greatest use of a story that started the singles careers of the Shield. I loved that, Women's wrestling, tag team wrestling was uplifted in this wrestlemania. that with the use of story lines that connect wrestlemania to wrestlemania. this is why im a fan, and glad ive stuck with wwe this whole time. it fell for a while, but the new era is exciting because i know wrestling is growing and new fans are joining in falling in love with the greatest form of sports entertainment. PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Wheezy!

When I was a little kid around 8 or 9 years old, my brother and I were obsessed with Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, etc. Then in my teen years growing up in the Attitude Era along with the Monday Night Wars. Even through the Ruthless Aggression era. Those years were some of the most memorable and iconic years that I've ever witnessed. I'd given up watching during the PG Era, because to me it was so stale, manufactured, and so unauthentic that it was extremely cringe to watch. For the first time in a long time, I'm finally emotionally invested again in WWE, and I'm proud to be a pro wrestling fan! In Triple H We Trust! I wish everybody that's not a wrestling fan can understand why a WrestleMania like this one gave us so much excitement and touched our hearts with sheer tears of joy!

Yeah, I wrote a long spiel to her about this..... We have seen this re-invigoration a few times with the WWF back in the day. I am from the era before Hogan and Warrior..... im from the Snuka, Steamboat, Andre, Don Muraco era.... im like you. I left wrestling a few times when it got stupid. I came back in the last year or so. There was a lot of people that are not fans that paid attention to that mania

Triple H knows what he’s doing. sure he’s gonna probably drop the ball more than once, but my goodness, does he know this, and he made us believe again. like a lot of peoples, I turned from invested to casual, but once trips got full control, game on! some even compared the 2 nights of mania like this, night 1 was infinity war, night 2 was end game. I do agree with end game, there was no way you could play that out!

As a wrestling fan, I saw a lot of ups and downs in WWE. I watch a lot of independent wrestling and AEW. One thing that about WWE is seeing how much it changed and WrestleMania 40 gave me so much emotions. I literally was so happy to be a fan of wrestling. I can't wait 20 years down the road and say "Damn. Cody Rhodes actually finish his story." or "Roman hold a title for 4 years and we will never get to see that ever again." I give Roman his flowers and I acknowledge him for his accomplished that he did for the company. Carried WWE ON HIS BACKFOR 4 YEARS!! it's crazy and I just love watching wrestling and this is why I love being a fan Specially have people like you who reacts and give us the best takes on things makes it more watchable and amazing

Really great articulation of how WWE got its groove back. I stopped watching wrestling in 2010 after HBK retired and was pretty tuned out until summer '22. It took until last weekend but I am proud to say I am back in a big way. I have faith that the company is being run thr right way and even if they don't always get it right, that the company ultimately wants fans to feel good and invested about the product. Bring on the Triple H Era!

Promo of the YEAR 🎉🎉🎉 Shall I say pipebomb because what you said was real and came from the heart? Overall, I watched all of WMXL weekend and Monday Night Raw and it was a piece of art, and what you said in this video had me on the edge of my seat. I agree 💯% of what you said and it got to me emotionally just as the whole weekend did. You said how I felt without realizing it. I stopped watching wrestling during high-school around '03 full-time and would watch when I could here and there. Throughout the years I just stopped and would watch one in a blue moon. Just 2 years ago is when I started to have the capability to be able to watch and fully enjoy PRO WRESTLING again. I'm now into watching WWE. AEW, some indy wrestling and whatever I can. WWE tho brought me back to my childhood which was the attitude era, with the story telling, the art in and out of the ring, just everything. I felt like I was 8 yrs old all over again watching my first match with Shawn Michael's the Raw before WM12 and seeing the emotion after winning the title from Bret. That was when I knew I loved pro wrestling and Throughout the years I've always loved pro wrestling but with everything pro wrestling has to offer and has delivered to us fans, I LOVE PRO WRESTLING more than I ever have since I was 8 years old. Much love to you, the fans, and of course the men and women that do what they do for us and for the love of the business, without them I believe my life would not be the same

I will remember night 2 for as long as I live. story about that, I was watching this in my room, and I was in the middle of the cody vs roman match, when my mom called me down for dinner. I’m at my mom’s for a month while she takes care of granny. anyway, I got called down for dinner, but ain’t no way I wanted to miss this one, I didn’t wanna rewind this, something told me to catch this one in the moment. I had to bring my phone down with me and watch. I walked out the door as John came out, washed my hands, walking downstairs as rock and roman came out, waited for my dinner when that gong hit, and eating after that revenge shot heard round the world happened. soon as Cole shouted, finished, the, story, I knew it was go time! he won! what got me was, to hear Samantha emotional when he won! I never saw that in my life! she let that out and showed us she felt what we were all thinking.

I won't lie. This Wrestlemania was true nostalgia bait for us in the 30-50 year old crowd. All the people involved. Having the Rock and his awesome promo and mic skills back... Being about in the middle of that group, can't say I've ever been more excited and satisfied. Been out of the fandom for a lot of years too. You could tell the emotions involved were some like never before. I also couldn't help but feel my heart beat a little harder when hearing Samantha make the final announcement. The subtle cracks and the inability to draw on her usual raspiness...🥹😊 She's a diamond in the rough. WWE is so lucky to have her. She deserves a raise for sure. Hope she sticks around for a long time. 🫡 That Ricochet is a lucky duck too, I might add. 😁

I bowed out of WWE in like 2005. I came back in 2018. Only two times in between I watched WWE in between ... Bret Hart's return in Raw and the SS match Lesnar vs. Goldberg. So I did not know about Cody Rhodes or AEW. But I watched how Roman Reigns held that title for over 1,300 days. And one of the main reason I stopped watching WWE was that titles changed too often. It did not feel important anymore. I pretty quickly learned that Cody is special and am so glad I was able to witness this multi-year storyline. I watched Night 2 of WM 40 live from Europe. I never yawned once in the middle of the night. I was so invested and I was as emotional as Samantha when Cody finally won. I am proud to be a wrestling fan. Lets enjoy the ride that is in front of us. You do a great work .... keep it up Wheezy!

From the opening match of night 1 to the finish of the story, Wrestlemania was fun. It didn't feel long as Mania's often have and almost everything felt important rather than thrown together the night before or just throwing everyone on the card in meaningless filler. I don't think you can meaningfully compare this 8 ish hours to 3 or 4 in years far gone. I would just say this exceeded expectations which is what i assume we all want from a Wrestlemania

Wonderfully and powerfully said! I commend you for being able to break away from what is dubbed as the “news and rumors” cycle in the silly world of pro wrestling. To be able to focus on the product itself and remain invested in what’s being put on display has made this weekend so much more rewarding. Regardless of what anyone may think about which matches delivered, and which didn’t… this Mania made me FEEL so much. Something Mania 17 and 19, my favorites of all time, never got out of me. Samantha Irvin’s post match announcement of Cody’s win and Michael Cole on commentary simply saying, “damn it, I love professional wrestling”… I was an absolute mess. So, I absolutely understand and agree with you when it’s said that Mania 40 is the greatest of all time!

I'm 23 currently and i started watching wrestling around 2007, the year John Cena was everywhere and fell in love with the sport. There was a time when I was just watching WWE and TNA at the same time and I was genuinely happy to be a wrestling fan Around 2018 and 2019 apart from Kofimania couldn't stand WWE and rightfully so because it was wild but I had no choice to stand by it because I loved this sport, it drew me and my dad very close and we will always be debating on what we would have done if we were running WWE and honestly I'm proud I stuck with it because the past 4 years have been the best in Wwe history and truly it was Cinema.

Being there live hit emotionally more than any other wrestling show I have ever been to. Hearing Samantha cry for Sami and Cody was real. Seeing Cody and his mom was real. Seeing the faces be there to celebrate was real. It was such a perfect weekend for wrestling and a perfect week for wwe. They are in an extreme upswing and in a “renaissance” as we have heard as the term for this new era. I’m excited for the product completely. All 3 brands have a chance to grow bigger and bigger and become super unique. The productions are the greatest things I have ever seen in recent memory and have made all 3 shows even fresher.

I LOVE this video. When professional wrestling is done right. When it is a 10/10 there is no entertainment medium that is better. I write fiction on the side and was grinning ear to ear during the Roman choice. Seth coming out in Shield gear was also a call back to their Royal Rumble match when Reigns got disqualified for beating the ever living crap out of Rollins. That while get triggers Reigns. I only wish I could have lasted another five seconds longer. Looking at Rhodes again and then Seth. His facial expression growing more incessed before looking to his right and at Rollins and then saying out loud F*ck Plan B. Then striking. Rollins in Shield gear is Roman's weakness. I always wondered if anyone at WWE would care enough about variety of matches to come close to Mania 17. Triple HHH answered that this weekend.
