Agreed my friend. Breaks are needed at times. Overthinking can have serious negative affects in any aspect of life. Archery is one of those that really leads to frustration if you overthink the process. One thing that helped me was eliminating the bullseye on the target face. It forced me to stop worrying about always hitting bullseye and redirected my brain to focus on my form, anchor and overall shot cycle. I find that now I focus on the fundamentals with each shot. The positive is my accuracy and grouping actually increased. Enjoyed the video my friend. Have a great evening!

Perfectly said! Exactly why blank bailing is such a good drill. I agree on the breaks. Archery for me is my escape and whenever it becomes not fun or frustrating, I just realize it’s time to take a step back and re think certain things, or take a break!

You ve been in my brain Trey. I am a demon overthinker. It makes archery suck. I need to heed what you said.

Look into the teachings of Terry Wunderle who preaches to forget the Aim & concentrate on execution 1000%. This lets your mind relax & just focus on the movement of your shot till conclusion. When you focus on the front end you will get TP. It’s the best method to rid TP & to keep it from coming back.

I’ll have to check it out. Thankfully I haven’t battled target panic yet
