Join us for a walk around Anston and Kiveton, where the stone for the Palace of Westminster was quarried way back in the mid 1800s.
The village is best known for its butterfly house, but this lovely little place is also home to a former quarry that produced limestone that was selected to be used in the construction of the Palace of Westminster after a catastrophic fire in the early 1800s. The quarry is still visible in parts of the housing estate that now occupies the site.
