If I did not know any better I would say this story was written to fit the current youtube troubles. Sexton as KZitem. Squire's father is Horrorbabble. Squire the Fans. The Butler Patreon supporters urgent caution. The treasure... viewer monetisation for the video's. Any way thank you for a great story and for the chills down my spine. Perhaps you should look at an old horror story about "The writer, the rat and the judge" I do not know what is called in english as I read it as a young boy a long time ago. About a writer moving into an old judges home who had a thing for capital punishment. ::EDIT:: Found the title "The Judge's House" by Bram Stoke quite a creepy short story so it should fit well.

And the moral of the story is ...... don't assume all are asleep by midnight because frankly it is too early. My local BP garage is open 24 hours a day, frequented by people all too willing to inform on tomb robbing activities. His plan was fatally flawed. That and his bag should have been more capacious by the volume of two handfull of gems.
