The issue is that it sounds very intellectual when one says that he or she makes choices on basis of self expression but the truth is that unfortunately the world we live in has a small domain of appreciation for intellectuals or those who do not go by the trend. It's a luxury to live like an intellectual in today's world because the world respects clowns more than intellectuals. Look at the top creators on social media from India, the very fact that so many people follow them is testimony to the fact that there's a huge discrepancy in terms of audience maturity, they're just wasting their time watching people doing really ordinary stuff, they learn nothing from it and there's absolutely nothing entertaining too. That's why many intellectual people have to face financial difficulties or not as well off as compared to the no brainer brigade which enjoys success at the box office and have massive fan followings. The truth is that in India, the average audience hasn't matured yet because our education system isn't great. In other words everyone may have had the opportunity to go to school but there's just a huge divide in the quality of education. As the quality of education has suffered, so did the choices of people. This situation will change but it may take 2-3 decades more. That will be a time when clowns will be discarded like bad habits and real talent or real passionate people will start getting their due.

Well said brother, because there's lot of massy audience than the classy ones. According to Creators or Filmmakers they're just looking at the Metro Cities as their audience & making their cinema but there's huge India beyond that whose entertainment source is just Mobile phone & Free KZitem Movies. Sad reality.

Well said and i agree with what you wrote very strongly because I see this every day (or you can say I care to notice the lameness around ). But i see the quality of education going down the drain tbh. I am a fashion coach and i interact with many students , the interest towards knowledge is very low. The social media has made everyone so glued to utter nonsense which sells and i tell my students that they are wasting their time following useless content. Value your time and what you feed in your brain. But trust me. No one bothers. Cuz good and intellectual content needs attention, which has gone to the drain my friend. Alas!

This episode does show him to be of the generation which wants to experiment and explore. And he did speak about it a lot. Unlike some of your earlier guests, who concentrated on the sights and houses of stars, etc. Wish he had spoken on the anecdote when he insisted on his Dad, Anil Kapoor, to work on 'Slumdog Millionaire', when the latter wasn't familiar with the director, Danny Boyle's oeuvre...

@@suraj250684 Well, I have lived my life in Mumbai. And it feels weird when you are discussing about Mumbai in Hindi. All the places, events , slang. This is an emotional response from me .. and not a political one. The closest analogy that I can give in terms of relaying my feelings is ……..when you meet your long lost friend and you used to have the best of times ( hindi being your language of communication) .. but the friend now starts speaking in English. It just feels weird ….
@suraj250684

@@dasfreutmich1 well the issue is that you are viewing the world based on your experience and judging someone who doesn't share your experiences. There are different Bonbays/Mumbai within that one city, the life you see is very different than the life seen by the upper middle class, super rich or the low income groups. For each of them your life would seem alien. I grew up in Mumbai for the first 15 years of my life, but then I also spent good part of my time in other states as well. Don't get too attached to one langauge, it limits our understanding of India itself. I see so many north Indian going to South Indian states and getting alienated bcos they refuse to learn the language and ask the locals to speak Hindi. And similarly the South Indians struggling down north as they refused to learn Hindi properly . Its just noises coming out of out mouth buddy, chill Karo, as long as we understand each other kya farak padta hai ?. Its so great when you converse with someone who doesnt know your language but you still manage to exchange ideas. This insistance on speaking onnly in local language, be it Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, kanadda is silly, learn as many as you can. Mix them, match them - thats the beauty of this amazing country of ours ! Aur dost Mumbai ya Bombay rehene Wale ke dil main basta hain, language ka usse kya vasta. I have been away from the city for so long but i am still a Bombay boy at heart !

@@dasfreutmich1 Aur bhai, Mumbai jo bola jaata hai vo Hindi hain hi nahi. I have lots of fatka from my Hindi teachers ( when I moved out of Bombay) as proof ! 🤣.
