There is a reason there are fanvids, fanart, and fanfic for the pair Her statement, her body language, her tone, camera choices, etc... they all scream there was something romantic before he got amnesia. Then there were the interviews. "Complicated" was the word used. Anyone with a brain knows "complicated" means a nonsanctioned relationship. That is what people call co-workers who get together when there is an HR policy against it. That is what people in the US call relationships in Brazil, where the legal age is 14. That is what people call my mother's marriage for a green card when she was 19, and her subsequent relationship with my father, a Chinese man, in the 70s when interracial relationships were still "questionable". That is what people called my marriage to a 2-P E-5 SGT with 12 years in when I was a E-3 LCPL with less than 2 and our relationship was against military regulations.

For Nicky & Jason relationship, i think it's obvious by now that they're together in the past, love how the camera skip down to Nicky daintily handling the coffee cup (later she goes on and say that her relationship with Jason is "complicated" in an off-movie show). Make the situation in Morroco more poetic, Jason hurrying back to save her from Desh; For Jason, he doesn't want anyone else who gets close and IS actually close to him, enough to want to help him, to be killed like Marie, especially when Nicky is hinted to be his ex. For Nicky tho, imagine having your 'boyfriend' get brainwashed, not recognize who you are, then knowing he settle down w/ another girl in some place, and one day decide to come back and for the circumstance, threaten to point a gun to your head. WoW. All that and Nicky still want to help Jason because he's all alone and everyone else is out there to get him. Must be quite a unique feeling and experience for her.

I'm really enjoying your excitement for the Bourne series! Thanks for sharing once more :D And I agree, The Bourne Ultimatum is my favourite as well. I always believed Nicky was romantically involved with Jason at one point in his career but they broke it off somewhere before his amnesia. Probably due to the stress, intensity and uncertainty that comes with the job. There's no definitive proof of it but it's my headcanon lol. As to why David Webb enlisted to the CIA and this experimental program in the first place, when I saw this movie for the first time, I reckoned it was because his regular military service didn't pan out the way he wanted. Likely seeing the horrors of war or simply feeling he couldn't really help people the way he wanted as a mere soldier. Unable to make a true difference that served his country. But he was clearly manipulated and conditioned to serve Treadstone as well. Regardless he remains a grey character trying to atone. Oh and I think you were looking for the term "shaky cam" when you were talking about the unstable way the camera was following the movement of onscreen characters.

Saving Private Ryan 1998 was probably the best use of "Shaky Cam" but not the first. Experiments with hand-held camera began as early as 1925 with Ewald André Dupont's Varieté and Abel Gance's Napoléon. "Shaky Cam" became more prominent in some feature films of the 1960s and in 1981, the "shaky cam" style was named, and given new energy.

The timeline of the 2nd and 3rd movies overlap. At the end of the 2nd movie Bourne is in Russia and goes to see the daughter of the husband and wife he killed in Berlin, he apologizes to her. It then cuts to New York and Bourne has that phone conversation with Landy where he tells her to get some rest. The third movie opens up in Russia and shows you all of the events leading up to the conversation in New York with Landy(which they show again) and how Bourne got there.

I'm guessing there are probably at least two entrances to the train station and the Bourne production team gets a permit to shut one of the entrances down and fill it with extras. They probably have the budget to hire at least 300 extras. If they didn't, not only would people be looking at Matt Damon but regular people, invariably, will look directly into the camera. Extras are trained to not look into the camera.

In my own personal head-canon, Nikki Parsons and David Webb were an item before he joined the Treadstone Program. I like to think that she tried to talk him out of it, perhaps knowing it might end their relationship and out of concern for him, but he being such 'the patriot' and all, he went anyways. Maybe there was a key event that prompted him to join, loss of a friend or something that made him so gung-ho to 'do more' for his country, I let the threads dangle in my mind.🙂 Glad you enjoy these films, I did too. My personal favorite is the one up next, the Bourne Legacy with Rachel Weisz and Jeremy Renner. I saw in other comments you plan to watch it, sending my appreciation in advance! Also, due to Jeremy Renner's Accident IRL, I've been Recommending this one more and more lately, because He was in Top-Physical Form when He made it! (2016) "Jason Bourne" Matt Damon returns, along with the same Director from "Supremacy & Ultimatum." Note to the editor: her mic is way too loud or the movie is way too low. To hear the movie easily, the mic is ear piercing loud. 👍

Sadly, the volume on the movie was lowered so much as the music in the background kept getting copyright problems. I’ll try lowering my mic as well and see how that goes :)

@@cinemawithsteph you did correct it on screen, but I had to check if that was an accidental reference to the author.
