Wrong on so many levels. Physical punishment over what someone says is just wrong, making a person physically hurt another person is wrong, having a kid making that decision is even worse, it was a lot more than just one smack he did not stop it, in fact almost seemed like he was enjoying it which shows this kid is turning evil, to even like seeing real violence and not having a problem with it, the fact he killed an innocent person earlier and it basically had no effect on him even if it was an accident is a real issue.

Sage is definitely up to something. She is supposedly the smartest human on the planet, so I can't imagine that she isn't playing 3 dimensional chess all the time: thinking several moves ahead and even planning alternate moves depending potential variables of others. She maintains a close working relationship with Homelander, potentially to keep him close and to be able to manipulate him (after all, his mommy/acceptance issues are easy to spot by non-supes). If she really is the smartest human, she has to see that his unchecked power has disastrous consequences and is probably preparing for a confrontation at some point.
@Brewcityking

Compound (temp) v gives a person their secret desire type of power. Kimiko has healing powers because of her trauma and fights when she was held captive by the human trafficking group and of course she may not mentally heal, her body does after every fight. Butcher gets homelander powers because it’s his desire to beat him, Hughie gets teleportation because he’s very non confrontational and always feels like he has to get away, Hughe gets phasing powers because he acts barely fazed by life and negative problems. The sheep in ep 5 became predators considering that it’s ironic of sheep to be the aggressors. The bunny that died and had the tentacles coming out shows that temp v gives cancer and I guarantee those tentacles were a form of what’s in butcher. I dunno but just what I noticed…

The Keep America Beautiful campaign was funded by a bottle company collective consisting of companies like Coca Cola. They ran this ad to distract from the growing disdain for their switch to single use plastics. This just speaks to how the writers love to point out dystopian corporate tropes and hypocrisies even more so and I love it.
