I thought it sounded like how a 50s strat should sound - bright, clean and chimey. Nice playing! ✌️

Fantastic demo. Thank you for not playing with distortion the whole time like most "demos" on YT. I'm lucky enough to own the sunburst version of this guitar, and it plays, feels, and looks like a sweet dream.

I own a Vanilla Crème colored Japanese version…’57 Strat Re-issue Fender that sounds like this one here!! 👍🏾😃✨🎸🎶

Would be interested in your take as to whether there was a noticeable difference in the tone on the ‘57 Vintage II Strats between the Ash body Blonde and the Alder Body Sunburst / Green.

Gorgeous axe. Like the 9.5 radius better, though. I have an American Original in White Blonde and it is fabulous. But I know some people really dig all original and I'll let them have that, for sure ...

Would you prefer this over the American originals?
@waltgracevintage8620

Hi! They're different guitars. The American Originals have vintage specs but offer a modern playing experience. The American Vintage II series is designed for purists who love vintage Fenders exactly how they were originally designed.

How does the 7.25 radius feel. I heard that notes choke out when soloing up the neck. Curious if that’s the case. Doesn’t look like it😊
@StevenJoseph
Жыл бұрын
If it's setup right no, they don't choke out. But you're never gonna be able to get the action as low and slinky as a flatter board and the main issue I have with 7.25 is actually pulling the E string off the edge of the fretboard and doing bar chords higher up. 7.25 is simultaneously super comfortable and awkward to play.
@waltgracevintage8620
Жыл бұрын
Hi! Like Steven replied below the 7.25 radius is loved and hated by many. The feel is very comfortable, specially when playing chords, however things get a little difficult when soloing on the high register. Unless the guitar is well setup (as it is the case with the strat we demoed on the video) it's very common for some notes to choke and buzz, however playing with a higher action can be a solution to the "problem". To us it is part of the magic that vintage Fenders have, they're not perfect but with a proper setup and tweaks they can be incredible instruments. We'd recommend for you to try one out, you won't regret it!

My old 90’s Clapton signature had 7.25 and I had problems with bends choking out. But I was young when I had that guitar and may not have had it set up right.

@@waltgracevintage8620 Hi, there. Thanks for the great demo. On Fender's website they say this guitar features 'vintage tall' frets to address what's being discussed here. Do you think it's a noticeable improvement compared to what you've played in the past? Did you have to go to great lengths in setup to get the guitar to play like you wanted? I'm looking to dip my toe into the Strat world. Maybe there are better first Srats but this one definitely has my attention and I'd prefer something American made. Thanks!

These guy's know how to sell you another one guitar you really don't need.After my custom shop Stratocaster 1959 Hevy Relic I really don't need that new vintage shit. This 57 strat sounds not close to a real vintage guitar but looks good like your dream. Isn't it ? It's just a GAK.
