Greetings Dr. Gundry, I am so overjoyed to be here! I have been suffering lots of health problems lately so I hope you can respond to my request here. Amongst one of my biggest issues is that I have had severe anxiety, which in turn causes me to eat... and to eat the most unhealthy lectin fueled foods. I want to beat this anxiety overall, but I also want to turn my food addiction as well into eating the foods that are healthy for me. I have eaten nothing but bad things and have gotten inflammation and pain everywhere as well as obsessive weight gain... and one of my main troubles is knowing what to make for breakfast that is a lot better, healthier and will give me sustained energy throughout the day, so this in turn I believe is really going to make a difference! :]

@@sl4983 yes it's easy. The main content is always olive oil. Use it always. For tahini you can get sesame seeds and heat it then blend it with olive oil, and you will get tahini. In launch cook tomato with olive oil and cayenne pepper and eat it with sardines. In dinner eat leafy greens. If you can replace oats with rye or barley non refined homemade bread it will be better. You can also add milk, if you can get camel milk it works good for preventing and treating diabetes.

Question: Are you aware of the method of pressure cooking beans for 1(or 2) minutes and rinsing; as a quick alternative to soaking for hours? You then pressure cook again for the actual cooking. Called the quick soak method. Would this method actually be an effective alternative to long soak times to remove lectins or not?
@GundryMDYT

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. Pressure cooking is a fantastic way to reduce lectins in lectin-rich foods. We dive a little deeper into this topic over on our blog. You can read more about it here: gundrymd.com/pressure-cooking-healthy-kill-nutrients/. Thank you!

@@GundryMDYT Hi. Thanks for reply. The Question was about 1-2 minute QUICK Pre-SOAKING BEANS via a pressure cooker(instead of presoaking for many hours in changes of water) and if you knew if that worked. Or Not. Thanks!!
@notone4540
2 жыл бұрын
@@EnerChiWellness You can just put dry beans in the pressure cooker(with plenty of water) and cook on high pressure for around an hour and they will be good. That is how I do it. Don't forget to add the salt! hahaha The quick pre soak is a not necessary waste of time and energy. Just rinse them first and its all good.
@goodhealth3020
2 жыл бұрын
@@EnerChiWellness that quick soaking cannot remove lectins as overnight soaking absorbs lots of water. Hulled Lentils can be quickly soaked as the outer skin is removed and doesn’t need soaking before pressure cooked. Hope this helps. You can still cook the beans for a very long time but soaking is to remove lectins, not just cooking.

Hi there Dr Gundry and team, So, pretty much each food we eat has positive and negative components and effects when you get to a molecular level. My question is, why the fixation on lectins? Instead of some of the other less beneficial chemicals such as phytochemicals, pectins,isoflavones, antinutrients etc. Is there some significance to the impact of lectins on the body over these other anti nutrients, and could you explain the comparative magnitude of this, when compared to other less ideal food components
@GundryMDYT
Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Scientists and researchers have been studying lectins and their effect on diet since the 1950s, and although it's yet to enter the mainstream, eating lectin-free or lectin-light is starting to gain more traction. Dr. Gundry has observed huge improvements in his own health - as well as many folks he personally knows - by cutting out lectins. As with any diet, you should do your own research and consult with your personal physician to see what works best for you!

I thought beans are full of lectins. Yet you recommend fermented ones

Dr. Gundry recommends pressure cooking beans even if they're canned except for Eden and Jovial brand beans- which pressure cook their products. Thank you!

@@GundryMDYT does this then remove all lectins?
@GundryMDYT
2 жыл бұрын
Pressure cooking is a great way to reduce lectins in lectin-rich foods. As pressure cookers cook at such high temperatures, there’s often concern as to whether they’ll kill all the wonderful vitamins and minerals found in fresh food ingredients. But fear not. Pressure cookers actually preserve nutrients in food. This is because, in general, shorter cooking times mean a greater preservation of vitamins and minerals! To learn more about pressure cooking, please visit our blog article: gundrymd.com/pressure-cooking-healthy-kill-nutrients/. Thank you!

Thanks so much. I sent this video to 4 others. My wife used to take Magnesium oxygen bearing cleansers such as Oxy-Powder, Bioxy-Cleanse, and I used to take Homozon. What do these do to the microbiome ? I know that you will not have constipation with them; they will give you liquid poo, so stay close to the washroom. Aarre Peltomaa of Mississauga, Ontario
