I’m just learning uke. This is my first. Can you tell me what you’re doing with the strokes? I’m struggling with the chorus and interlude.

Sure, I played with a D, D-U, U-D-U, U-D-U, U-D. Then just repeat throughout. Listen to the rhythm of it and keep it light and bouncy. Have fun with it!

Adrian, I love this song. So glad there's a few of you that are playing it on the uke. I just started learning the uke. I found the uke tabs for this song and I've been using a combination of strumming such as single strum, 4 strum per note, backbeat strum, and island strum but can you tell me what kind of strumming you used? Also, have you considered doing a tutorial especially for the Interlude? The uke tabs just mention a bunch of notes but don't know what it means.

Thank you so much for your words! I really appreciate it! I'm just a simple player, not technically trained or anything. Honestly, I just used my ear to find the right rhythm, its a nice light bouncy strum. I'm sure there's variations on the strumming from different people. I play it with a down + down up up down + up up down + up up down. Its all in the rhythm or beat of the song. I haven't considered doing a tutorial, honestly I didn't think there was many people who would want that lol. The middle section (interlude) tabs show the chords. And again they are played with that rhythm. Listen for the chord changes and you can spot them out G, D, Am etc.
