Exactly! It’s the nitty-gritty, deep dive, we all experience but normally don’t see. Plus, being in on those ‘at the moment’ decisions hit home. I so often get in deeper than intended, hyper focused or even ‘in the weeds’. Sometimes digging myself out on the fly or stepping back to ponder….which, can then lead me to another area 😂 that just may add to the balls already in the air. ‘Poking plants’ …sometimes love the search and the risk involved. Often hope I have enough steam to cleanup after the cleanup. 😂 Great work, Erin! ❤

I am the same type of gardener as you seem to be. I head outside with a plan in my head of what I want to accomplish and I get distracted all over the place and sometimes end up not getting to what I planned to do at all. 🙃 The main thing is that I enjoy getting things done in the garden in whatever way works for me on a given day. I planted some boxwoods that said it was only supposed to get to three feet. Because I planted it during one of the busiest times of my life, kids, work ect..I ignored them totally, 25 plus years later they are at least double the size the plant tag said, while I don’t mind them my husband HATES them so I’ve been slowly trying to cut them back but they do make a nice living fence to hold back the huge snow drifts we get during the winter. That being said I recommend not truly believing in the information that plant tags provide, I was recently told that trees/ shrubs never really stop growing, they may slow down, really slow down but continue to keep growing until they die. So buyers beware of the information on plant tags. 🌺💚🙃

You are truly a wonderful gardener. Respectfully, why do you constantly apologize for how things look or what you didn’t intend to do? You are a wealth of knowledge and show us the reality and hard work of garden upkeep. So many you tubers just plant and behind the scenes throw out struggling plants to unrealistically present a perfect garden world. Your hair gets frizzy and your skin glows. So what? You are lovely no matter what you wear or how your hair looks.
