I found your channel because of I was having withdrawals after coming home from a Camino. I have really enjoyed your journey. I walked for ten days and came home jealous of those who spend a month on Camino.

I just got back from walking Pamplona to Brugos. Two times, Spanish people offered to drive me places. I was alone, but both times felt 100% safe. The spanish people are so very kind! I'll already looking forward to going back. ALSO, Lisa, I keep seeing your Punahoe shirt - I grew up in Hawaii and went to Mid-Pac. 😃

Thank you guys for being realistic, I think todays video is an indication that “doing it your way” is the only way to walk the Camino. You seem to be having a great time following your own rhythm, and all too soon it is over. Perhaps that is why I am fascinated with the Camino, striving to walk within myself, ignoring the “outside” influences and listening In the quiet, to the joy within myself. Take great care of yourselves, cheers from 🇦🇺

THIS EXACTLY - thank you very much :) The Camino is, I think, all about finding your own way by removing all the outside noise. We just get so few times in our lives to really do that, to disconnect and focus on what we want, with no other influence.

I will walk the Camino this September, I have totally enjoyed this series. A well balanced blend of humour and reality. Best series I have watched on this topic. Calming voices and pleasant smiles. Thanks very much and more power to you.

this is very kind of you to say! The Camino was such a wonderful challenge for us and we're so glad we got to do it and document it along the way. Buen Camino and enjoy your walk in September!

I only started watching your videos when you started the Camino. I think I’ll go back to the beginning since you mentioned your time in the van, Mexico and Hawaii.

Yes, I started watching back with the early HI videos (when I was going to HI myself) and then took a break from KZitem. I picked back up with the flight to Rome and I’ve since went back to watch the van build and Mexico and even all the at back to video 1. 🤣 I don’t watch much tv or really much else at all apart from one other channel. LOL

It was hard for me to accept that I was not a pilgrim anymore when my camino was over. The first thing I had to do when I got home was to mow the yard. What a bummer!

yes! this was a sentiment we felt but didn't know how to describe--the feeling of it actually being over--a mix of relief, joy, but sadness for it being over

It's definitely a worthy sacrifice (whatever you're sacrificing) to experience the camino. I love meeting people from different countries, managing to communicate even if we don't understand each other's language. And the food.... Thanks again for sharing 😽😽

I have an understanding now about what walking the Camino means to people. The people I have spoken to in the past, spoken platitudes and quoted poetry explain in the romantic qualities of it to me it went over my head , you have made it very clear what effect it had on both of you and I would would’ve liked walking it, so I say to you both thank you very much.🇳🇿😎

Ha yeah - we didn't connect with ANY of that stuff either. It was just so flowery, so imprecise, so unactionable, so... unhelpful. This comment makes me so, so happy to hear. Thank YOU so much for watching and for your thoughtful comment :)

The trees you say look like good as Christmas trees are Eucalyptus. I wouldn´t buy one as they take all the water around them and nothing grows.
