I was just reminded of another thing you need to be aware of in the Canadian workplace. Please don't attempt to give your colleague a hug, even if they've been away for a year 😀. Except of course you already have that sort of relationship. Please read the room and feed off people's energy. 😊

This is interesting and informative. I recently got my first full-time job offer in Canada after Grad. On accepting my offer, I finetuned my response using AI, which created some impression. Imagine using "Dear Fname LastName" for one of the Directors. The Director who seemed excited during my interview reacted differently during the onboarding process.

LOL… I see how that could have been an awkward moment. Please always review your AI responses before you hit ‘send’. 😊

So how does one decipher when the person actually means "I" and not 'you'. Wahala for who no get deciphering spirit.

Big wahala! LOL ..... but i've come to realize that anytime they are referring to you, they say 'I would' but if it's their own action, they say "I will". That's one realization that has now helped me! 😊

Do people in canada usually have more than 10 days vacation days provided by employees? are Canadians taking their vacation time? I want to compare this to Europe
@SmallTalkWithFaith
Жыл бұрын
On the average, it’s 15 days vacation in Canada. You can get additional days based on your level. And Yes, Canadians take their vacation time because it’s a benefit provided by the employer. If you’re curious about other employee benefits we have in Canada, I did a video on this. Link below. kzitem.info/news/bejne/tXqF1Iqvipamm34

@@robertrobert88887 It’s depends on the employer and your level. But 15 days is the average you will find. Note that this is asides sick leave and personal leave (which some employers give in addition to vacation).

@@SmallTalkWithFaith what is personal leave and how many days you can get? 15 days of holidays is nothing.
