Totally agree! They are back on track and won’t look back. Stellar game from Lankinen.

I think Toccet has convinced Petey that you don't need to score 65 goals like Mathews to be a number 1 center.....there is another way to play, like Barkov. 25 to 30 goals 80 to 90 points and really responsible 2 way center.

100%, i have been saying that hoglander and petey just look natural as a duo and garland can just improve any line he is on with his drive, also i dont see this take at all but like, garland has got the best passes from below the crease and no matter how much pressure he gets it to someone, we saw it in the playoffs and we saw it this game and we have seen it all of last year he can make those crazy passes

@Jrrobins99 Garland is easily the most consistent forward we have. Whenever he has the puck we can all be assured it's going where it needs to be everytime. There's a reason I bought a Garly jersey last season

Always had a funny feeling that debrusk would end up with miller and boeser. Nothing wrong there. Have been waiting since we signed garland to see him with pettersson regularly. - Yes him and Hoglander are small line mates but they’re absolute puck hounds and both good around the net (pettersson still gets easily bullied off the puck) - they simply need to get pettersson the puck and get open. hopefully they keep that line together for a few games to actually see what they can do. Pettersson absolutely feeding Hoglander and Garland? Why not

Silovs was in a groove last year in the playoffs so it was a bit unfair to expect him to be the same as he was in the playoffs. Great to see Lankinen be a pressure relief valve that this team desperately needs right now in Demkos absence. Ill say this about Myers. Hes a guy who you wished used his size to his advantage more. Good offensive vision for breakout passes and pinching in the o zone. If he manages his defensive lapses hes valuable to the team.

Lankinen was an absolute stud! Still hoping Demko will be back & healthy soon, but I have no worries about letting Lankinen take charge as our leading goalie. I love Silovs, but I think he definitely needs just a little bit more experience to truly shine on the NHL level. Looking forward to his future. It was absolutely great to see Petey get back up to speed a little bit as well. I absolutely know how hard it is to perform under pressure, which makes me all the more sympathetic when thinking about someone like him with such a huge contract hanging over his head. Hopefully we'll see him return to his original form sooner rather than later! Congrats Tyler for your 1000th game! I remember being lucky enough to attend Trevor Linden's 1000th game all those years ago, and it truly is a testament to his hard work that he's been able to have such a great career in the NHL. Love our boys, looking forward to the rest of the season!

2:48 Facts are facts: Lankinen is an NHL goalie. He may not be a star goalie, but he's a solid goaltender and doesn't give his team a reason to panic. Silovs just needs more time to bake. Demko wasn't a golden boy right out of the gates neither, so...

I think the hard thing about accepting that Lankinen needs to be the starter until Demko is back is that the fans absolutely love Arty. What he did in the playoffs is so respectable. Called up at 23 with 9 NHL games of experience as the backup backup goalie in the playoffs. Records a shutout in game 6 against Nashville. Played his heart out, and at times was better than Skinner in the Edmonton series. In game 7 it was his name that was chanted in the arena when the Canucks lost, and he looked absolutely devastated in the handshake line. It's the reason I heard so many people say we could easily get rid of Demmer and use Silovs. I don't think they are saying that now. He was so solid in the playoffs it's actually kind of painful to see him play average. Of course two games isn't enough to cast him off at all, he will probably play against Chicago and hopefully he'll get his swing back as the rest of the Canucks have so far. Regardless, I am so, so, so happy that Lankinen is on the team... and that the goalies they would be left with before Demko returns aren't Arty and Patera.

Depth is key. And we ve got it in spades. New line combos work...and will get better....and to think if the team needs a little spark, Tochett can still go old school and throw together the 6/49 line, or the lifeline (Blueger/Garland/Joshua....he ll be back sooner than later) the new guys are proving they re here to win. The farm is stacked. It's gonna be another banner year...closer and closer to the prize. Yes, goaltending still concerns me but Artie will get his starts and KL is looking like he's comfortable finally. If and when Demmer comes back, that's even more depth.
