This band is well rehearsed. They play to the audience; their faces aren;t in the music stands reading. Look at their eyes...they are looking at the audience. Thus is great music when there are musicians that can really play it.

The tenorist has listened VERY well to Pat Davis on the original. The "Werner Müller strings" are not on the original recordings (Casa Loma made five or so, between 1930-1937)

Bookmarked! Perfect rendition of this tune. I agree with RatPfink66, this is the perfect tempo. Like Jimmy Lunceford's "White Heat" and Miles Davis' "So What" this tune lost its magic when it was played faster and faster. Great to hear it this way again.
