@@EliteSpeakerman168 This episode was based on the autonomous zones that popped up for a few months in places like Portland, Oregon. With those zones, the local government got in the way of law enforcement, so swat couldn't do anything even if they wanted to. In that zone, the captain could've died, but because the kid with the gun was scared of the captain's show of force and aggression, he backed down and let them help. But if we were to get super realistic, because these zones came to be on American soil, the national guard could've and should've bulldozed through them, arresting ever anarchist and self proclaimed warlord out there. But again. Local, state and federal governments didn't do squat.

@mastercontrol1613 though it's weird that in more and more places fire/EMS won't go on a scene until the cops go first and tell them it's safe. Our department policy has us stage a few blocks out and wait for the word from police if the call involved any sort of disturbance or threat of violence. I enjoy the rivalry as much as anybody (though in reality I have nothing but respect for our police at-large), but we lost a LOT of heat in the debate when the rest of us chose to become second-responders. 😔

This is based on what happened at the CHAZ/CHOP (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone/Capitol Hill Occupied Protest) they called it both. Protestors occupied an area of a city covering about 5 blocks including the East police precinct which was of course raided by the protestors. They set up barricades, kicked all police and first responders out, and established their own “police” force (random tiktokers and rappers with rifles). When someone shot a couple other people, the CHAZ police found a random guy in a vehicle that was similar to the shooter’s vehicle and killed him. Then requested the local fire department and EMS to come get the injured people. Following procedure for a shooting, EMS and fire wouldn’t enter the CHAZ unless escorted and cleared by police to ensure their safety, but the protestors refused to let the police in, so they blamed the police for letting the victims bleed out.

Anarchists have rules, it’s just that they only have rules everyone can agree on and self enforce. The idea of anarchism isn’t necessarily Everyman for himself, only that every individual should have the right to make their own decisions and live as they wish to, if you agree to a rule and wish it to be in place that doesn’t violate the idea at all. An anarchist collective features decentralized leadership and group effort for the common good as desired by the people, individuals who don’t wish to take part in things have no obligation to, but in general people LIKE to work together and get along so long as they aren’t forced to, in a natural part of being human. At least that is my understanding.
