I believe that I would trim some of the rear bumper near the rear fenders so more of the fender is visible. Also, since it is a shop built bumper and the quality of the welds is unknown, it would probably be a good idea to maybe do some weld overlay on it to ensure that it won't ever fail.

The patina on that is just perfect. I would be thrilled if you could preserve it instead of painting over it. Like the other commenter said, blend in some Omega Auto Clinic logos on the doors so it looks like it has been working for the Wizard since the 50's somehow.

Very cool project. I'm new to your channel, it popped up on my feed. I've been a mechanic and fabricator 45yrs+ and have seen and done more Chevy v8 swaps than I care to remember, I love different swaps. Yes you can get inexpensive patch panels for those fenders and recently I saw a swap of 70's front disc brakes onto early 60's spindles without a lot of modifications, I'll look for the info for you, if you're towing they will come in handy. Looking forward to the series

Patch the rust hole in the bottom of the front fender, pound out the dent in the front of the hood, but SAVE THE PATINA! And just clean up the interior. It is perfect the way it is. Rat rod it.

Mr. Puerta has the right idea: (Ye Olde) "Omega Auto Clinic" logo, clear-coated patina and (per Mr. Bigblockbob) a Spirit of Ecstasy. Maybe add a 50-gallon drum labeled "Grey Poupon" to the bed.

Antiquated?......nah! That's how med. and large trucks have their engines mounted to this day. Inline sixes especially benefit by this method since there are long and narrow, with little need for lateral constraints due to their natural balance.

Good thing it doesnt have the behind the seat fuel tank like the later ones. If you get hit in the side it will split and douse the interior with gasoline and burn you alive. This happened quite often in the late 60' and early 70's.

Never was a big fan of the gas tank in the cab. Grab you a tank off a 80s model suburban an mount it in the back. You'll get a 40 gal capacity an less chance of burning to death in a wreck. If you go 87 an up you can get an in tank fuel pump also

My suggestion was a Mustang (I thought it would be funny), but this is hilarious, nice! Question: all these engine swaps going on... where it all joins up to the bell-housing, do they have standardised sizes or something? I'd have thought everyone's shape would be different? Or do you need an adapter made up for each vehicle?
