This is all I know. I went keto last September, full on carnivore in December. 50 lbs fell off. Lots of little chronic conditions disappeared. Plus my anxiety and brain fog vanished. I used to worry about getting enough protein right after my workout and take athletic greens every day, probiotics etc, ; no more. It’s all there already eating meat. I still use stevia in my coffee with heavy whipping cream, and one meal a day. Dinner. I have never felt this great. Ever. That’s all the study I need. The search is over for the perfect diet that doesn’t leave me binging all weekend. I have the holy grail. And I’m keeping it 😎

@@andrijab.pavlovic988 SLP is right. Sugar is a drug, comparable to street drugs as an addiction as well as something that changes your brain function. Electrolytes every day. LMNT is a good one, or you can google the ingredients and make it daily, dirt cheap. Coming off sugar, or cigarettes for that matter, your brain and gut have to change gears and switch from getting energy from sugar, to getting it from fat (ketones) a short transition period. Oxylate release and dump from built up carb intake is real as well. YOU GOTTA STICK IT OUT. Good news? You will not believe how damn good you feel in 2-3 weeks and will never go back when you get there. I go to the gym 1-2 times a week and remain active throughout the day because physical activity is medicine for the body. I am 47 years old and I’m telling you it’s like turning back the clock. You will feel and look younger and healthier. My LDL is 215, my cholesterol is 322, HDL is 100, triglycerides is 58, my blood pressure is 115/72, resting heart rate of 48. My calcium score is 0. My cardiologist says that I am perfectly healthy like a teenager. My cardiologist also tells me that inflammation and oxidative stress causes heart disease by creating damage to the arterial walls. What causes inflammation and oxidative stress?….. seed oils, processed sugars, basically fake foods (I call them Franken-foods). Just eat real food from nature, and embrace the nutrient dense foods from animals. Be active outside, and get plenty of sleep. Your quality of life now and the future will greatly improve….. be mobile and pain free when your 80,90,100+ God bless 🙏🏼

The reason carnivore didn’t take is Money, sugar/carb addiction, and population growth. Humanity would be like locusts in a grain field to other animals if we only ate meat, though when we only eat meat we tend to eat less often. We make the mistake in terms of personal survival by eating far too many carbs, which are inflammatory and addictive. Carb addiction may actually be natures way of reducing our lifespan and numbers. I’ve lost 60 lbs on Ketovore over the last 9 months and I’m about to go full carnivore to reach my goal of 190 lbs or less at age 68. Looking at the timeline, I think Ansel Keys didn't have much to do with the failure of the study to gain wide acceptance. I believe rather that Steffanson was up against a religious bias - the Adventists, especially Kellogg, were advocating for low meat because it stimulated lust - which was a sin. It got lumped in with Prohibition - not legally, but the avoidance of sin was being overly promoted at the time. Ansel Keys didn't do his Seven Countries study until 1958.

It was written up in journals as it was unique and so rare that it wasn't expected to ever see another one for a century. Funny how that was to play out. By the mid 1930's it was a leading cause of death in the USA. All types of cancers were on the rise as well and linked to the veg/seed oils in tandom with sugar/carbs. Now almost a century past Otto Warburg's Nobel Prize in medicine in 1931 which clearly showed that cancer is a metabolic disorder yet the treatment for cancer hasn't changed and his results largely ignored. Professor Thomas Seyfried: "Cancer as a Metabolic Disease". The rate of death from cancer hasn't improved for most types in the last 100 years. 1700 deaths per day as of 2024. I do resistance training 6 days a week (about 45 minutes per session), ride my bike to work and throw in some running when I'm in the mood. This is all pretty normal behavior where I'm from though. Perhaps if I was only eating beef I would be destroying everyone at the gym, getting weekly raises at work, curing all diseases and beating chess masters, but we'll never know because I don't want to eat that way.

Thank you for bringing these studies. I wish they were replicated with larger sample of modern people. The main deficiency traditionally raising concerns about carnivore diet is Vitamin C deficiency. There is a decent amount of vitamin C in seal liver and muktuk.

I want to be able to eat meat, fruits, and greens for thriving, when in season, and for health benefits or medicine. Problem is I was a very low fat, high carb, supposedly healthy processed food along with supposedly healthy vegetable oil and supposedly healthy vegetable oil vegetarian and occasional pescatarian for under 2 decades… wrecked my gut and now after initial success with minor hiccups with dirty and clean keto I now am thriving and feeling great with pure high fat carnivore except for apple cider and virgin coconut oil if I can’t get butter or animal fat. Last I gave up was coffee. It has been studied that natures predators also benefit from carbs in the form of the partially digested fruits, greens, as well as the gut enzymes and bacteria of their prey. As such if it were not for my compromised metabolic gut health I would add a little fruit and select veggies to my diet. I do occasionally like once or twice a year in just small amounts and it seems ok. As for Seed oils and processed flavor enhancers and preservatives, if I eat a serving of meat cooked or prepared With them, I feel the inflammation the next day or 2.😳

I think most people aren't going to dramatically change their diet without a very compelling reason. He didn't adopt the Inuit diet until forced to because of lack of supplies even though he had witnessed the apparent good health of these people's before he was suddenly without all his high carb foods. At that time if you approached a farming family And suggested they only eat meat you probably wouldn't convince them. While they did have meat it was easier to use up those garden veggies to stretch out the meat since much of their meat brought in more money than the veggies. And it was easier to dry/preserve veggies than meat and not as much spoilage. It was easy to store up dried corn, wheat, beans and peppers; pickle up different veggies and save up root crops, onions, potatoes and squashes for 6 months or more to be cooked with a little smoke meat for added flavor. The majority of cultures around the world are omnivores rather than carnivore. The majority of those trying carnivore today is because of health issues and would never consider it if they were feeling great.

I tried that and got a fish rash down both legs. I went to the doctor and when he saw that rash he said; " You yankees got to stop thinking you are eating healthy by eating all that fish". I asked: But the natives eat fish and they are fine Why can't us yankees ? He laughed and said: They eat fish only a few times a month but eat marine mammals every day. That not just the meat but everything under the skin and none of it cooked. By laws passed internationally , us none natives cant eat the seals, whales or dolphins. Fish isn't something that any human can eat in large amounts without consequences such as I experienced.

@@carnivorerabbi Thank you for suggesting Dr Chaffee. I will check into him. I started carnivore Jan 21 2024 with good results, weight loss, fingernails stronger and more moist, eye floaters almost gone, chest acne gone, and decades-long constipation gone. My last doctor visit, she said my kidney function was much worse and she was very concerned, wanted me to stop eating so much protein. (I actually eat a large amount of fat). The funny thing is, before I started carnivore, my urine had a terrible smell. Now that I have been carnivore for 8 months, the smell is virtually gone -- even though supposedly my kidneys are worse. 🤔

Rabbi, I have only love and respect for you. Hashem loves you very much and I feel compelled to give you a warning. I was Keto for several years and I did the Carnivore Diet for 2.5 years. I developed severe heart disease and had to have angioplasty and Stents put in to save my life. Keto and the Carnivore Diet cause Severe Heart Disease. The Carnivore Diet will cause a Heart Attack if one stays on this diet long enough. Excessive Saturated fats and Cholesterol most definitely do block up arteries. Please I say this with Love and Respect for You discontinue this terrible carnivore diet before you are at risk of blocking up your arteries and end up needing surgery like I did. May Hashem Bless you with Wisdom and Abundance Always. David

Scientists put a lot of faith in epidemiological research (to confirm existing ideas), but almost all of it can be rejected by the simple fact that the studied populations do not include carnivores. A good scientist, on the other hand, tries to falsify existing theories and anecdotal evidence can help with that, so I don't understand where the stigma on anecdotal evidence comes from.
