Ironic that when the line in "Moving in Stereo" rolls around . . ."nothing changes except for my shoes". . .that a cut to Ben's stacked heels appears. He liked to add some height with those heels at a time when only Prince and perhaps a couple of other performers would attempt this. Ben had a style all to his own. Of course, with his natural looks, he didn't need much enhancement. Ask any female fan.

Oh forget it! Benjamin Orr? No one in rock and roll can touch him. Not on any level. Voice, talent, and then there's his fortunately natural, rock god looks...I always kinda felt sorry for Ocasek standing next to Ben. Agree and disagree: They can be interesting to watch, but this isn't high energy music, at least not imo. These guys were more of a studio band. It's the songwriting, arrangements, dynamics, and production that carried them-not live performances. They come across wooden live, kinda cool to look at, but still wooden. Best to get high and put on some headphones and just look at pics if you want to see them. Cheaper that way, too-lol.

Glad you enjoyed this, Elliot Easton is the oh so classy guitarist, he remains one of my favourite guitarists, he is so classy and timeless in his style of playing, never overpowers the song or the singer , he once said something to that effect. He had such great solos as well. Keyboard Master is Greg Hawkes, he truly is such a talent and so unique in the way he plays the keys. He and Elliot are still performing in bands and it warms my heart that they do. Greg was actually a sax player but was asked to play keys for the band ( and I think he did play on some previous recordings with Cap'n Swing, the previous inCARnation of the Cars). I think the 5 of these musicians combined their unique talents and suddenly their music became MAGIC. Lovely to read your words, warmest regards, Tia
