That's why I refuse to watch MMA and cannot even watch boxing anymore. It disgusts me. I used to watch pro wrestling since the age of 13. It's not a legit fight, but that's not the point.... it's just fun to watch. I find it the choreography aesthetic and funny at times. However, seeing people suffer servere concussions from practicing their sport and develop brain damage leaves me without words... I highly recommend "the dark side of the ring" with the two Benoit episodes. In case you have not watched it.

My cousin is somewhat like this guy, he’s also a fighter, parties hard and was problematic (dangerous) in general. He served a couple of months in prison for the same thing this guy did; beating the guard up at the club. The difference between my cousin and this dude is that prison actually changed my cousin for the better. He managed his behavior and got anger management treatment in prison and actually came out a well adjusted person - showed love to his father after hating him his whole life, got even closer with his mom and finally made up with his sister after a fight that lasted over a year before he got locked up. This guy could’ve probably gotten better as well had the prison actually put effort into managing him and adjusting him to be a good member of society, but no, lock him up in solitary confinement and release him into public right after, super smart.

Seriously! How? How is that helping anyone? If it’s punishment then he should have been there for life. Prisons are MEANT to be for rehabilitation and to make sure criminals can right their wrongs. You clearly don’t understand the original comment so why don’t you refrain from commenting :)
@AnthonyLeighDunstan
4 жыл бұрын
Seriously! How? Prisons are also referred to as correctional facilities providing several services which include forms of rehabilitation and in extreme cases disciplinary procedures theoretically aimed at protecting the inmates from themselves, each other, or both. A crude assessment of this last point might be seen as “punishments” and in isolated cases, perhaps between specific correctional officers and inmates, there may well be an unspoken understanding that this is what’s happening - much like discrimination one might experience in everyday society - difficult to prove or weed out. However, officially, any approach to “punish” an inmate for anything, including violence, would be heavily scrutinised resulting in some sort of reprimand administered to the officer or person responsible. Punishments in penitentiaries are deemed adverse to the cause and are generally viewed by those in the industry as ineffective when dealing with people of whom 90% have the potential to successfully reenter society. In actuality, very few reach this goal. But that doesn’t stop them from trying. Other services these institutions provide of course concern the general public in so far as housing unstable, dysfunctional or potentially dangerous individuals in a safe and secure environment to ensure the safety of individuals living in society. I should say those serving time in prison are doing just that - serving, and so they are an essential part of society. Much of societies necessities rely on those serving in prison to make or process them. Further services are geared heavily toward rehabilitation - that is, with the aim to reshape and recondition a person to a level where they are afforded tools (mental, emotional, perhaps spiritual, practical etc) to sufficiently live in a society that demands a certain degree of functionality. One of the ways they do this is through diverse forms of education such as music and theatre. I’ve had the privilege of seeing how the arts can enrich lives, even those seemingly written off by us in the “free” world. Even someone like John would have access to some of these facilities provided he’s able to prove he deserves the privilege. It’s also important to note that not all penitentiaries are as fully equipped or as well run as others. There are still horrible things that go on that would violate ones rights and go unnoticed. But the same can be said for schools, offices, public roads, night clubs, bars, sports centres, gyms, etc. The only difference between the injustices within prison and out in society is the level of outrage. I hope this has helped inform you since you’re such an advocate for education.
@Beeautifullifefarm
4 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyLeighDunstan As I previously stated there are facilities that have programs for both or that focus on giving the inmate a skill or purpose. However , there are plenty of facilities that offer no such programs at all. The inmates simply exist within the walls. It greatly depends on the evaluation that an independent psychiatrist gives based on the crime and greatly based on the inmates ability to behave in a social environment

I dont think he's normal)

Obviously in jons case he was roided up and ready to fkn rumble and the only people serving his crazy self in that moment would be those who feared him but not because he was wearing a hoodie. The more likely case would be that (as he stated) he spent all night thinking about a slurpee and then came in there all flustered trying to be an “alpha” and they were like no dude. @Judoka Spirit I have stepped on the mat, most of my life. The OP's post is right on the money. Koppenhaver says so himself with his bit about guys he's "supposed to beat". Kizzume also further clarifies that it was his strategy to get back in the promotion. It's a strategy as old as time, to the point of it having it's own idiom, i.e. "tomato cans". Another fighter that comes to mind that used the "crushing cans" strat is Wilder. If you've "stepped on the mat", or been a fan of the sport for awhile, you should know it's been a thing since the inception of the sport. Just sayin...✌😉 Edit: It's not only failed fighters that do this. Plenty have been on cam being shitty in bars. Penn comes to mind, and another from the first category is Perry.
