What makes this the best version on youtube ironically theirs no animation the still Grimm faces of predator & prey. triumphant & the doomed is absolutely absorbed by u & i the viewer. It also teached a very real lesson not only can evil win but it can incredibly & totally win. Let that sink in & be deeply contemplated in secret. MORBIDLY DELICIOUS

I'm so glad I found this! We watched this in 8th grade English, but the VHS was so crappy and the tracking on the television was probably way off. So a room full of 13 year olds couldn't understand anything they were saying except someone yelling "AMONTILLADO" every so often. The substitute got frustrated that no one could answer any questions that he made us watch the whole video over again. I crack up every time I think about it.

In my class- it would have been about 1999, we watched this on a filmstrip projector. It may have been this version. The audiotape would beep and then someone would manually turn the film to the next picture. This may have been it, but I've been trying to find that version forever.
