I enjoyed the interviews immensely. I've only seen a few Wes Anderson film, but hearing the cast talk about the creative spirt and collaboration making me want to go and see it. It would be the first one that I've seen in the theater. Excellent questions as always and everyone looked so comfortable and were engaging. Great questions as always and i enjoyed hearing everyone's answers about the two films they would pair and also the alien. So happy you got to speak to them in person!

@@Theblerdgurl Follow up. I saw it yesterday and I enjoyed it a lot. There are definitely some bits that warrant a second viewing but I enjoyed all the characters and the story being told. Those three little girls the daughters their characters were hilarious.

I haven't interpreted meaning or tried to find hidden messages because the narrator's opening line stated he'll narrate the televised broadcast of the play 'Asteroid City'. Within 10 minuten came the 1st LOL (no one else got the hint) was a clearly fake roadrunner and hearing 'meep-meep' as it exited stage left. Also the police chase seemed accepted by everyone as part of this nonsensical play. Jeff Goldblum is not Jack Skellington, the Alien. Jack Skellington performs Jeff Goldblum's interpretation of the Alien he performs for the televised stage play. I felt vindicated as the credits started late, seeing a dancing roadrunner doing the impossible (birds only step FWD) the RR accentuated after all storylines ended that it came from the mind of an author who's narcissistic and psychopathic, but nevertheless his imagination and control over his portrayal on TV and actor perfect for the part. Maybe there's a happy ending message after all, All stories come to an end.

Sorry, my wife and I went to see it Saturday filled with anticipation but came away thoroughly disappointed. It felt like a Wes Anderson version of "Stranger Things" even featuring Maya Hawke in a prominent role. Young intelligent students involved in an alien mystery...sound familiar? The dialog vacillates from the characters to the writer explaining the creative process of writing...DEAR GOD! I fear Anderson may be going down the same road as Woody Allen whose later movies are pale comparisons to his early successes.
