"Nothing to serious in there" ... "what do you know about lead" 🤣

I only recently discovered USA, UK & Ireland still have many lead water pipes still in use from last century, and India allows lead to be used in paint.

I love the fact they clearly went to the airport with a bit of chainlink fence and a small branch chopped off a tree and put them in front of a camera to get some establishing shots of the runway. The budget on this film was tiny... and yet it's still possibly the best Australian film ever made.

Even movies with huge budgets do things like that because you can't film at real locations for all kinds of reasons. The way the cinematography cuts to the lace, chimney and arial all build your trust that what you're seeing is really happening in the Kerrigan yard. Its brilliance

I searched up this video today because I needed to hear this line. The conversation was about the "wood-panel print" on the vinyl of an above-ground swimming pool, and linking to ?t=53 was basically a winning move.

they stick up for marbo in the court scene (even tho they are trying to relate to it - and fail miserably lol). and he sticks up for his Arab neighbour/stops him from getting evicted. he is undyingly loyal to his dodgy Italian Australian lawyer even though he is a crap lawyer. enough examples? I know some indigenous Aussies that love this film - its universally funny.
