What do you think about this powerful, and relevant, active imagination....? P.S. There is a section in the commentary where I did not expand what Jung meant by the general rule... it would require a bit of time (which I take too much already) to truly grasp. What I will add is a quick summary of what I would have went into.... In that commentary, Jung refers to something all too human (a connection to Nietzsche) which is that raw essence of the human being. So, experiencing that essence (the chaos) will make one realize the reality of why we order culture (with "general rules"). Of course, this is my mere humble opinion, and I'm open to hearing your own thought below!

If your interested in Jung’s Red Book and watching it in order… Start with my Red Book series, then The Red One, and finally Castle in the Forest. These 9 videos will get you almost halfway through the Red Book in order (and I’m working on One of the Lowly which is the next chapter). Hope this helps! Thanks for the suggestion ❤️🕊️

I'm not going to lie at first. When I started reading you and listening to your videos I thought it was nearly a load of pretentious b******* if I'm going to be frank. However, I am pleasantly surprised to be corrected as I couldn't help myself but to continue listening. This is single-handedly one of your best videos along with The Red One and others. Your explanations of the works of Carl Jung have really changed me and much more for the better. Please continue to keep making these videos, so many others and myself can continue on this path with help, because just trying to jump into Jung's works is not an easy feat for most.

I think its important to keep distinguishing the difference between physical and psychological genders. Many people that cover this subject from Jung, or just from an alchemical standpoint think it is supporting the Trans movement. It is not in any way supporting the Trans movement. In fact, the Trans movement is a direct affect of NOT DOING this inner work. It is important to discern that.

It is convenient to be able to coordinate disdain for non cis folk with the TRUE ESSENCE of the SOUL. I remember this from my days in Catholicism, and my time with the Jehovah's witnesses. More exciting, sweeping generalizations about "all the pills therapies and programs" just requires jungs prescient realization that they need to ask YOU to opine deity-like upon validity. Indeed, those you don't approve of can only ever be found wanting ( Jung 6 Sermons 6:24)

Comments at ~38:50, yes! I often think about this, how eager people are to adopt a label, to be part of a "team," to put themselves in a box - at the expense of working out their own inner self... Anyway, another great video Joseph! I appreciate how your videos keep Jung's ideas fresh and circulating. His wisdom is much needed in today's world!

I’m always elated when you upload! Thanks for another wonderful piece! I’ve had the same suspicion that the current gender insanity is really just a misguided drive towards individuation. One that causes further fragmentation rather than directing people towards wholeness! I feel this way about pretty much every form of modern identity politics. The jungian paradigm gave me the tools I needed to examine these issues critically. Thanks again and keep up the great work! ❤

I just cannot conceive that this unfocused inclination with Eons of explanations hither and yon, requires so much verbage. Seems so SIMPLE... NOT my choice, but another quiet voice singularly speaks to all !!! This surrounding dark enthrall envelopes with matter (rust 'n ruin) subsuming the SOUL. The guide is within !!! STOP and listen, the unrest you feel is real... In TRUTH, what the elite call "IGN OR ANCE" is NOT the "lack" of anything, but the ignoring of ones God given knowledge for some human gain. Mostly PRESTIGE or WORTH or MONEY or many other unworthy wants and false DESIRES ... Caring and affection are transmuted into God knows what ???

50:59 So the Rythm of Individuum does not seem to discredit the aquistion of identity but to put identity into perspective (in relation to the self). On ones path to oneself one must embrace seeming foolishness. When one is on a hill there will be a time one must descent into the valley and vice versa (give up ones identity in a given moment). That reminds me a bit of a dream where I was part of a group descending a mountain. We had to walk through a construction site which angered the construction workers because we were disrupting them. In the valley was my childhood home where we confronted monsters from my past. Instead of attacking them or fearing them we just went into holes in the walls and watched them run around maniacally. Those neat structures that the construction workers were trying to erect on that mountain were undermined by our foolish desire to simply see those little critters in the valley.

Yes! Exactly. If you have the red book or watch my video in a few weeks… this is exactly what Jung speaks about in the next chapter One of the Lowly. He speaks of becoming and the heights, and being and the depths… highlighting the dynamic between the two. Also, thanks for sharing that dream. So much value in it, and it is also connected to this work. I won’t speak in your dream, as it’s yours to make out, but that is exactly where the monsters are. In the depths. Much love ❤️🙏

Dear sir, I really love your content I have respect for you and Jung, I just want to ask one question, You say jung went deep within himself, Something i am pretty sure you must have too, how did you approach it and actually go within? Meditation? Deep insights (journaling)? It would really help me figure out my own path if you were to answer it, Thank you.

I have a video about my story if your interested… but I would say every awakening begins with a subjective death. That’s why many who have a near death experience or get a terrible disease begin awakening. Dante, the Greek underworld, and Jung’s account provide a glimpse of where to begin. I like to say, begin with nothing. Begin with removing your biases, your unnecessary fears, and be okay with sitting in the stillness of your being. No mantra, no dogma. And from that emptiness and stillness, you’ll see everything you need. There is no book, no teacher, nothing but the ability to allow the other to speak. If you watch my story, I had nothing. From working on Tv, having a girl I was possibly going to marry, and all the other worldly goodies, to the blackness of nothing. And in the blackness of nothing is when I began to “see and hear”. Hope this helps 🕳️

Jung s problem is definitiv his outer life. Why has he been so explicit about living a rich outer life- Even worse Marie Louise von Frantz. Her parents have been able to buy her analysis by Jung, when she was still a child. Very humble compared to what. They kept the red book hidden for about 50 years. Jung afraid to show it to the world even after he had died. I find his approach to the soul very interesting. Humble U Media does a great job on that. But what Jung is getting out from his soul shows that he is a vain personality in outer life. He rather studies old dead stuff in the outer world, instead to care for his anima, that is what this castle in the forest story is telling us. His underdeveloped anima is desperate because of his "rich" outer life. Shocking, but most likely. He does not see it, but it is so obvious.

I understand your point but hear me out… If a plane was always there from the beginning, like water, then you can say this. But the airplane is created. And because it is created, it improves over time. Water, it’s water. Water has always been H2O. The psyche, consciousness, has always been there from the beginning. It is eternal, and essential for life. And like water, and unlike technology, it’s fears and desires have always been there. So, the point, when you have technology that improves and changes, you want the latest research. BUT! With something eternal, someone at the beginning can know a thing about it that still holds value today. Our fears and desires change form, but fear is fear and desire is desire. If someone gripped the psyche in ancient times, it’s true today. If someone gripped the first plane, they would be LOST at how planes work today. Hope this helps 🙏

its a good take, but its a general take, lacking in universal applicability. there is indeed something true to gender identity being masked (or misdirected, depending on things) shadow work. I might summarise my own view on gender identity as "in so far as you choose it, you become lost". only in acceptance of the particular experience and its elicited response can you get at a true identity, or at least one facet of it. when i was younger i detested my own desire, and chose consciously asceticism. slowly however desire creeps around this coldness and guides ones hand to warmer things. to many this will be another woman, or perhaps to crossdressing, but the meaning of it comes not in the thing itself but the hidden nature of it that can only be understood by silent, non-judgemental observation. in knowing what it means to you, understanding of you and your true relationship to the object comes. a quick shortcut to this ive found is booze. alcohol typically drives men to women. in me, alcohol drives me to men, in the form of woman. without my higher faculty of control and mediation i give into this, and unthinkingly accept what comes naturally. this other, rejected part of me came only in my lulls of consciousness for a very long time, but only in so far as i bring it into conscious mind (and thus identity) do i avoid being lead blindly by it, often into conflict with myself and others. proportions it seems, vary among particulars, but one must never mistake dominance for exclusivity. one must measure ones parts, and give to them their proper share of and in life. obviously i should add the image of sophia holds a great deal of relevance here. in jungs story, in mine, and in the form of her being. i characterise my mind as walking between two feminine forms. a redemptive sophia; social, kind, gentle, selfless, and a black clad lady of the night, whos poisoned lips speak desire. to choose falls short, one must drink of the poison, to not be stalked by her, and one must love and forgive sophia her failings in order to nor fall into her melancholy.

I've found my experiences don't generalize well, but I too gravitated to A "light/dark" femme wisdom. I reiterate often that it was meditation on the Gospel of Thomas that let me break from the mass values & psychic ethic of the reactionary I was. It fits well with the problem of evil & why God lets bad things happen. In a way, even tho surely I misinterpret the "true" meanings, the only universe I can experience is in here, away from the world. I am therefore grateful to Jung for sparking my mind like legitimized Tarot. I liked your imagery of Sophia, thank you!
