the atmosphere created in the harry potter films, especially the later ones (but also the happy magical warmth of the earlier ones too) is just amazing and completely unparalleled in any other film universe.

They are so lucky that Dumbledore already found this one, and knew exactly what to do when they entered. Because, first of all, they would have never found it. Secondly, they would have never known how to enter the cave (human sacrifice?? how are you supposed to know that?) And lastly, even if they did get inside and saw the necklace, they would have immediately set off the inferi and die a terrible dead. (The reaching out for the boat-chain is just complete guessing, in my opinion...) So yeah, yay plot, I guess

Sofia 27 he was arrogant for one. He didn't think anyone knew of the Room of Hidden Things. He didn't think anyone else had penetrated the Castle's secrets. So the tiara. He didn't think anyone could break into the highest security Gringott Vaults. or suspect he would keep a horcrux there Ideally, if he weren't so arrogant, he would have used a piece of trash as a horcrux and dumped it into a landfill, or the bottom of the ocean... Would have been impossible to find. Of course then he wouldn't be able to check on it...
@MHScrat
6 жыл бұрын
I guess he didn't hide them all like this one because he felt the ring was safe hidden in the anonymity of his background, in his mothers old house. The book he felt was secure in a pureblood mansion and in the fear of his death eaters. The cup he felt was secure with the protection of Gringotts and the goblins (though he was literally able to break into a vault using QUIRREL in Harrys first year, so Idk why he thought it was very safe...) The Tiara he felt was safe cause he believed no one else had found all of hogwarts secrets like he had (but like come on Tom you hid it in a room FILLED with items that clearly other students had also hidden....but i guess that made it even safer...?) and even then what the hell were the odds that Harry would come across the tiara xD He was secure in his ability to protect Nagini. He spread out how he protected them. If they were all protected like the locket and the ring then Dumbledore would have easily (kind of) been able to get them all. If they were all protected by his followers, like the diary then it's likely they would have all been disposed of in some way or another like Lucius tried to do. It does make sense that their protection is all varied, and just pure chance that some of them were found, lots of research for others and lots of skill involved in others.

Well, it's cheap to say but the books explain everything better. 1. Dumbledore takes about 5 minutes focusing on the wall to know about the blood sacrifice. Next with the chain Dumbledore explains how since he taught voldemort, he knows the obvious traces of his magic.

It was, of course, Voldemort who created the defences and obstacles around the horcruxes in the first place. However, Dumbledore was his teacher once upon a time. This means that Dumbledore knew Tom Riddle's tricks, techniques and style very well. Dumbledore also had many years of experience in recognising traces of dark magic very well and so knew the best outcome on how to deal with Voldemort's defences.
