One thing I noticed was that Viren ordered the soldiers who handed in their swords rather than invade Xadia to wear a symbol of a broken link. He meant to shame them but they turned it into a badge of honor.

I came here from the line in the letter, "Free yourself from the past, learn from it, understand it, then let it go.", cause I think it describes perfectly my view of history. The future must be built on the present, not the past.

I was really surprised by how good this video was! Most people making TDP just 1 video discussing something base their talking points on bad research and it's not that entertaining for me whos obsessed with this show for 1 ½ years. But you really got what its about and talked about some interesting things, great job!

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it! After finishing the show I noticed a lack of good video essays about the show so I decided to make my own lol.

Amazing video! I really love the narrative of the show and how the new generations are the ones choosing the path of peace instead of following the path of war lead by their parents, thats just what we need in the real world!

Thanks for the TDP content for us poor starving fans. I really liked your analysis, and I really would like a Claudia redemption, but by your logic, she probably won't get one.

Okay, first of, amazing video, really really good job💪✨ second thing second, I wanted to point out that, on a historical level, the creators of TDP confirmed that Callum isn't the first human mage to have used primal magic, and there's also a little insight on it in the artbook: apparently, before the split, humans could learn about primal magic under elven tutors (Leujanne's place used to be a place where students could spend time while learning, which is why there were enough beds for Callum Ezran Rayla Claudia and Soren), which may or may have not resulted in a human magic learning primal magic (I'd assume it was a rare thing to happen even back then); after the split however this obviously was no longer possible, and since it wasn't likely to happen in the first place it eventually got forgotten and labeled as an impossible thing to happen. This obviously doesn't make Callum learning sky magic any less impressive, as he A) learns it by himself for himself B) is the re-discovery of a long lost potential that human mage seem to not know they might have... and while I wonder if we'll get to see any more dark mages, I'm basically convinced this actually could tie Callum to Aaravos, who is most likely tied to the Orphan Queen (another character from the story who I'm not sure we'll meet in the show, but I think they might write a novel/ graphic novel on her since it has been established she had a big role in history), who MIGHT had been another human mage that used primal magic (although this is hypothetical)

there are so many themes and recurring points that I didn't recognize until you pointed them out. how do you come up with and remember all that stuff???
@TheEverythingBagel

It's mostly the genius writers and less of me coming up with stuff. My analysis comes from me wanting to understand what makes something so great, and when I start breaking it down into the different elements, I'm left with what you see in the video lol.

First season being your favorite hmm that’s a bit unusual most people say the first season isn’t the greatest. Interesting
