Is cruising for 7 days too long or not enough days onboard?

I think it's just enough.

Question: compared to a Caribbean cruise, how was the nightlife onboard? Me and my friend like to have fun while cruising. We just wanna have in mind if an Alaskan cruise would be the opposite. Thanks!
@lifewiththecibs

Completely opposite! But the scenes and experience triumph the more relaxed vibe you get on an Alaskan cruise.

Can you use a matrícula to board on and off? No passport required correct? A simple ID would work?

How was your service on this trip? We just returned from a 8 day trip on the Spirit and are regular Carnival cruisers. The service wasn't as good as we were used to. We are going on our Alaska trip 9/2023 and are debating on switching cruise lines. Any positive thoughts?

We had a wonderful experience onboard! It is definitely different type of atmosphere compared to Carribean cruises. Check out a different cruise line specific to Alaska, maybe? Happy Travels ❣️

So with the spirit being on the smaller side of the ships, how did it do as far as rocking/smoothness? We want to do an Alaskan cruise this summer and are debating between Royal Caribbean ovation/quantum, to me the difference is almost $5,000 because Carnival gives me amazing deals, where Royal is doesn't yet, Not sure if spending 5k more is worth it for the bigger ship🤦

We have cruised several times and experienced motion sickness for the first time ever. The sea is definitely rougher so you can feel the rocking. Of course, we had rain during our time onboard so don’t know if that made the difference. But once its on the inside passage it gets 100% better and feels smooth!

Upon arrival in Seattle, did you stay one night at a hotel or just straight to the cruise ship?

Be careful about getting a room at the Marqueen in Seattle. I paid 179 for my room and when I got the bill online it says $253.62. They add a $68 tax recovery charge to other charges.

We are going September 2024 to Alaska on carnival spirit. We’re you able to see the northern lights?
@lifewiththecibs

Sadly we did not because it rained the entire time we were in Alaska. Our apps would show there would be forecast of northern lights in late Aug. Hopefully ya'll have better luck than we did!

@@JenniferRamirez-qi3cu balcony is definitely a must. We were on port side and when we were at the glacier and ship turned back around the port side had the most time with the view!

@@lifewiththecibs thank you for the information. I actually just switched cruises instead of the 7 day out of Seattle on the spirit we are doing the 10 day out of San Francisco on the Miracle we are on the starboard side with a balcony.

I would say it depends time of the year you are visiting. If you compare the Carribean to Alaska - very different. I would have motion sickness meds to be prepared as I got sick on last day when sea was rough

10:12 Your video was good until it wasn’t good. You lost me at the Karen reference. It is so unkind to use a person’s name in a derogatory way. I don’t think that you meant to be hurtful, and that is a habit to break if you want success. There are a lot of generic adjectives that can be used to convey whatever it was that you wanted to say. You don’t have to resort to that kind of thing.
