Not bad for a cheap machine. My plasma cutter is the only thing in my shop that I went all out on. I got a Hypertherm and I love it. I hardly ever use cutoff wheels anymore.

Thanks. I think that handle thing was for the cruddy face shield that came with the machine. I recently bought a similar unit and have found it is great for little jobs / short bursts. Saves a heap of time over using cutting disks with the angle grinder!

@@AbsorberofLight Yep, I wouldn't have known it without seeing it for myself on this video. Most of the Chinese plasma cutters are advertised as being able to cut 1/2" . Now I know for sure that's Bull poop! I would have at least thought 3/8. But 1/8" , that's pretty bad!

I don't think he will put it on his CNC Machine because the Plasma cutter does not have a Pilot Arc. He would have to drag the tip on the metal for it to work and even though once initiated he can hover it a fraction of an inch above the workpiece, it would not be consistent.
@toddpaulsen1396

From what I've read it is best to use a plasma cutter with a higher duty rating if it will be used on a CNC machine. I upsized my everlast plasma cutter when I ordered it so that I could put it on a CNC someday.

Absorber of Light I don't think this Plasma cutter has a Pilot Arc so putting it on your CNC Machine would not work. You would have to drag the tip on the metal for it to work and even though once initiated you can hover it a fraction of an inch above the workpiece, I do not think it would be consistent and flame out. Of course i hope you prove me wrong :O) I really enjoy your videos.

Not everyone with use for a plasma cutter is going to need a CNC machine to make it work for them. Rough cuts to get the initial form on a metal build using a plasma cutter will save huge amounts of time, and blades for various mechanical cutting devices.
