First heard of them in late 70's. I was attending Trinity Full Gospel church in Zanesville, Ohio, Pastor Curtis Arnold. No other christian group resonated more to me then The Imperials. I love music, and play to myself as often as I can. I still have their first songbook and I break it out once in a while. My favorites are the Eagle Song, Praise the Lord, and One More Song For You. I followed them closely through 4 transistions as the Imperials, and each time it seems like a new element to their music was added. At 78, I still enjoy listening to them on my old vinyls.

I chose this as my birthday song. I am 54 today. My mother went to be with Jesus a little over a month ago. I miss her dearly, but I will have one more song for Jesus. As long as there is time….♥️

This song has been playing in my mind for the past few weeks and it's so good to hear David Will perform it & minister it as beautifully as he has for "decades". Perfect lyrics for any long-time performer to know in your heart. This has been refreshing.

I enjoyed this video. I saw the Imperials back in the early 80s with my son and daughter in downtown Detroit at the Ford Auditorium. The Imperials were just getting started and it was one of the first Christian concerts I attended. What a blessing it was.

Sure miss Pastor Rick when he was preaching at Hope Church in Largo, Fl. He always had such a meaningful and positive message and I never felt judged from his messages. I don't know what happened, but one Sunday he was the pastor, then one Sunday he wasn't. His messages kept me coming back to church.

One More Song For You As long as there is time And one breath left in me There will always be One more song for You And as long as there is room For one more voice in praise And a need for a word of love and truth To help my brother through There'll be one more song for You You were there with your songs of laughter Words of hope for my fears What are songs when no one will sing them What are words when no one hears There were times life became a question When I asked, no one knew Till I found the answer in You Chorus: So as long as there is time And one breath left in me There will always Be one more song for You And as long as there is room For one more voice of praise And a need for a word of love and truth To help my brother through There'll be one more song for You Love is in the air around me Hope abounds everywhere Living life in the arms of Jesus Learning how to really care Everyday is filled with purpose All the old is made new And I know, I owe it all to You Chorus: So as long as there is time And one breath left in me There will always Be one more song for You And as long as there is room For one more voice of praise And a need for a word of love and truth To help my brother through There'll be one more song for You

I can't understand no matter how hard I search or look I'm trying to find the lyrics to God's got something good for me talking about a man whose less fortunate and he needs money or whatever and there's something the very first part of the chorus I think it is I can't understand a word he's saying it's a very short piece and I have played it over and over and over I can understand every single word and that song but that one first piece I can't understand what he said and they have made enough money to put the lyrics to that song on the radio TV somewhere you too and it's nowhere I can't find the lyrics they're not that old and classic that they can they can put the lyrics to their song somewhere and that makes me upset cuz I want to know the words all the words to that song so bad thank you if anybody knows all the words to that first part I don't know if you seen his eyes surround God's got something good for me I don't know I don't know what he saying in that first part I hope somebody understands what I'm saying I don't even know what I'm saying anyway thank you

Not sure if this is the song you are referring to but it is great. God’s Up To Something Good Hart Ramsey Lyrics Chorus: God’s up to something God’s up to something good I know (5x) His plan is working Everything out for my good All because I love Him (Sing 2x) Verse 1: There’s a battle going on in this world that our eyes cannot see Don’t be moved I promise you it will be alright Just have faith No matter what Hold your ground Don’t give in Cause in the end Your gonna win You got to know CHORUS Verse 2: When the storm comes And I know that it will Take a stand on His promises I know He’ll work it out Whenever you need Him Whenever you call on Him He’ll be there Don’t you ever let go There is one thing I know I know CHORUS Excuse me miss, but can I have a word with you Please sir can I share a little bit with you I know you’re praying for that miracle you been believing Confessing it and blessing Him everyday believing Will He come through Will He find you It’s like a dream playing on the movie screen And you wonder would he if enough offering to remove the burdens Open up the heavens like a window with a curtain I know these struggles are taking you to the wire His grace is the one that endures even the fire Come and look a little closer man Check it out sir You’re a king Your a queen You’re a blessed sir Don’t step down cause your in the thick of it The fire The heat Your clothes won’t even smell of it God is not a man that He would lie to you He’s the one that died for you Say goodbye But just in 3 days Hey now He got up Before He left He gave the keys The powers yours now If you was gonna quit you should have done it way back then But because you stood God is up to something good Vamp: You can have peace In the middle of the storm When you know joys coming in the morning time (4X) CHORUS Vamp: You can have peace In the middle of the storm When you know joys coming in the morning time (4X) Romans 8:28 We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. These are the people God chose, because that was his plan.

The song ends with the tender words, which I suppose are sung to the Lord, “There’ll be one more song to You” and then the singer bows to the audience as they cheer for him, the singer??? The song is, what I suspect, a tender intimate song sung to the Lord telling him that there will be one more song I will sing to You, Lord, even as my last breath. So, why is the response to such words a generating cheer for the singer? I would think we would all bow before our Lord and Savior and break into spontaneous intimate “One More Song” from our hearts to Him. Right? That is what the song is about, right?🤔 My heart aches because we have all so grossly missed the actual power in and of such lyrics. If we read the words to many of our now ‘performed’ praises and hymns (songs) as words recorded in the Bible, we would probably read the following common biblical statement, “And they all bowed down before the Lord in praise.” However, in our day and age, our historic texts will read, “And everyone cheered for the singer’s lovely voice.” The power is NOT in the voice. No. The power is found in the words of the songs of praise. But those lyrics are lost and masked by the praise given to the artist, who is in fact only using their God given gift, hopefully, to lift praises to our Lord, which is the act of using their gift (“workmanship” of Ephesians 2:10) for good works in Christ. And the purpose of our carefully and wonderfully surrendered crafted gifts would and should be used, especially by those redeemed by Christ, to preach the “good news” in every place in this world the Lord’s Spirit guides us to go, that those gifts will lead people to a relationship with the Lord God Almighty. So all who hear can tenderly sing “One More Song For You,” Lord God Almighty.✝️❤️🙏

beautiful. But it isn't quite as sweet as the old classical heritage singers version. Some songs are never quite as sweet as when a woman sings it
