I'm a member of WNP and loved your enthusiasm for our shared history. I'm one of the lucky ones that was able to enjoy Playland and Sutro's. I'm happy to see another generation of San Franciscans relate to history

The Cliff House!!!! Man I was angry when I heard it closed. Never did their restaurant. Always wanted too. I missed their classic arcade that moved. Haven’t had the time to go. I plan to.

Thank you so much for an excellent job; I virtually grew up in Playland and remember all of the rides and the sight and sounds. An "It's It" was a dime and half again as big as they are today. I was at the beach that sunny afternoon when Sutro Baths had just caught fire and stayed the rest of the day as they worked to save Louie's. The old bar was great; a nice quiet place to have an affordable Irish Coffee and watch the waves.....The Cliff House was the place to go for a bite after Bay To Breakers...I still miss it. Thanks for your effort and for including the historical nuances. keep up the great work; it is people like you that keep us connected to a time when we seemed so much kinder to each other....Best to you....Bob and Elley

Thanks for this narrated treat. I loved Playland, especially the Fun House. That museum of old music boxes and other things from playland below the Cliff House, was like a big nugget of gold to me.

Playland was such a great place. Good food too like the pie shop, chicken range and the hot house for the very best enchiladas and tamales! Thankfully the city bought back the historic 1905 Charles ID Looff carousel that operated at Playland from 1913-1972. It now operates near the Moscone convention center at Yerba Buena Gardens!!!! 👍

I wish there was a way to bring everything back to life. I really feel the history and all the other vibes that come from the area. It’s a Magical place, in my opinion… and I’m glad to see you share my enjoyment. Thanks for putting together such a great video, filled with fun and respect for ((The Cliff House)) as well as adjoining spots near by! I plan on a visit, in the not too distant future.

I lived 5 minutes from The Cliff House from 1977 to the 1980's. Always went there with family and friends. It had the best breakfast menu. And the best hot chocolate. Perfect for those cold foggy days of S.F. Downstairs was a mess of an electric store for tourists. It was GREAT! Stuff everywhere! A wonderful mess of antiques and tourist crap! Unfortunate that a corporate entity took over and RUINED the unique restaurant that had attracted tourists and locals for decades. Very nice video. Wish I would have filmed some of my visits their and downstairs and into the camera building behind it.

Great video Dylan.....and always nice to see Jett has well....Thank you guys!!

I remember when Musee Mecanique used to be at the Cliff House, used to be scared to death to go there cause of Laffing Sal, one time I tried attempting to be brave and face my fear of laffing Sal, but I ended up running and screaming and crying once I saw her in one of the windows, it wasn't until it moved to Fisherman's ward that I started to not be afraid anymore of her, although I did feel a little bit of that adrenaline once I saw her again with my friends a few months ago, but yeah those are my Cliff House memories, mostly unpleasant and traumatizing memories.

I know it's a pipedream but just imagine if Playland, & Sutro bath house was remade to look the exact way they looked back in the 20s. It would be super popular

It's a shame the NPS did what they did. I was first there in 1967. My mother and I went there in 2017 and had an amazing dining experience.
