Do the players worry about their safety being THIS CLOSE to the fans? Why was PNC Park designed like this?! Thankfully folks in Pittsburgh are respectful or else this kind of access would not exist.
As you can see in the video, this special spot is in the front row of the left-center field bleachers, all the way out at the end toward center field. That's where the bullpens are, so you can get VERY close to the players. Basically every pitcher needs to walk out of a doorway right in front of you in order to enter the game, and in case you're wondering, the player featured in this thumbnail is the Pirates closer (and Pittsburgh native!) David Bednar.
This was a strange day for me. Normally I arrive at the ballpark an hour before the gates open, but I showed up at this game shortly before the first pitch. This was supposed to be a day off for me before heading to Kansas City, but my hotel was one block from the stadium, and it occurred to me at the last minute that it'd be stupid NOT to go.
I made a solid choice. In addition to seeing Juan Soto, filming a funny singing/dancing vendor, and snagging a baseball late in the game, I got the lineup card from the Washington Nationals bullpen. Click here to see all the lineup cards I've gotten over the years:

This game in Pittsburgh took place on April 17, 2022. I filmed it all myself and did the editing too. Thanks for watching!
