I own a Colnago Pista with four crimps in the top and down tubes, with none on the seat tube or stays. As far as I have been able to determine, there was never a model in the range like that, and I have only ever found one more like that on the internet, which, according to its owner was reputedly built for Jan Raas for his last track season. I suspect that mine, similarly, was built for a particular rider, to particular specifications, but, so far , have been unable to determine for just who? I did e-mail Colnago at the time I got it, but got no reply. Since then I found out that Laura at Colnago handles historical queries, so I really must get around to asking her.......there is a stamp on the right dropout- " H6R"- "H6"- I believe indicates August '86- but what, or who the "R" refers to, I do not know.

Wow thanks for doing this video. I am a Colnago Addict and have a Master X-Light and and C59 Team issue, both of which are ridden regularly (and are forever bikes). This also bought back some fond memories as I had a Saronni bike with Superbe Pro back in the 90's and wish I never sold it. Keep up the great work.

When I was 12 I just got into cycling. Basically no one in my town road racing bikes. It was a small farming town. So one day I go to the drug store to buy some candy and there’s a COLNAGO outside. I was in total shock. I just stared at it for 5-10minutes. I had no clue what it was. Now I’m 62. Have cycled across the USA 4 times and Ridden across China and India and Australia. I’ve owned many bikes in the last 50yrs. I’ve never owned an Italian bike. Right now I have 6 Ti bikes 5 of which are Campy and one Shimano. I still love Colnago

Another great video, Andy! I have a 1982 Super in Saronni Red (Super Record but not pantographed, alas) and my most recent acquisition is a 1996 C40 (same paint scheme as the Master Olympic at 17:29). Both are wonderful to ride, albeit very different. All great bikes in this collection but I think the one I would go for is the Master so as to compare it to my contemporary C40.

Very interesting video, thanks for sharing. Great collection . At one moment I was dreaming of a Colnago Master X Light and a Tecnos but the price of the frames for sale alone where far out of my reach. I ended buying some other high end steel and alumnium frames as projects with a Vetta Team in Dedacciai 18 MCDV6HT, a Fausto Coppi Legano in Columbus Genius, A Grandis Overmax, a Daccordi Fly aluminium custom, a Veneto Art Decort Altec 2 Frame, a Pinarello Stelvio in Kens (Dedacciai 18 MCDV6HT Tubing) and a CT Wallis in Reynolds 731 OS. I have also a fair share of my mountain bikes including a 1995Scapin in Dedacciai 18MCDV6HT, a 1997 Kona Kilaeua in Reynolds 631, a 1992 Merida Albon and added three other MTB projects with a 1998 Jamis Dragon in Reynolds 853, a 1999 Trek 6700 SLR and 2004 Trek 6500SLR. Graham is also a well known frame builder. A friend of mine has a Graham Weigh Reynolds 853 road frame equipped with dura ace, a terrific bike. You should do a video on the Colnago Ovaltitan and Bititan titanium bikes , they are well worth it.
