This is to AVOID panic buying! I always had extra, but started looking into the reality of what is going on and started prepping in earnest slowly for 3 years now. When the news came out of India about cutting rice exports, I did not buy one extra grain; I have rice. I can leave it for others to buy now. (But they aren't here; few are paying attention.) When our water was cut off because of a water main break a couple of months ago, the local stores were wiped out of bottled water; I did not have to but any, so others could get as much as they needed. REAL PREPPERS ARE RESPONSIBLE.

For me and my wife, this year was a practice run on raised bed gardening and canning. We learned quite a bit of little things that are not obvious when it comes to gardening. Things like keeping cucumbers far away from all types of melons (yes our cantaloupes taste like cucumbers now which is disgusting). We all need to get back to basics and practice as much as possible.

@IRSFRAUDEXPOSED

so being your new to growing ill clue you in on how your wrong. firstly cucumbers will not pollinate a cantaloupe . muskmelons (cantaloupes) will not cross-pollinate with other vine crops. . Cantaloupe do not cross-pollinate with cucumbers, watermelon, squash or pumpkins. Different cantaloupe varieties do cross-pollinate, but the effect of this is not evident unless the seeds are saved and planted the following year. so read up on what can pollinate other things . like how i grow zuccini and acorn squash so if one has a female flower but no males i can get a male from the other plants . if you want to seed save which is a good idea as plant adapt to your weather . you want to get up early and self pollinate before bees do, (if you have male and female) and then cover it and mark it .
@Rpol_404
Жыл бұрын
@@IRSFRAUDEXPOSED Thanks for the tips. Not sure what to say though. I'm telling you the cantaloupes are ruined since they taste EXACTLY like cucumbers. My Amish daughter in law confirmed this might happen. Probably not cross pollination as you say, but somehow the cantaloupes taste cucumbers by being in close proximity.

Thank you for this. I've been watching your videos for a while now. You are calm, controlled and in no way trying to discourage folks. Please do keep making these for many will need them very soon if things keep going the way they are. As for other things....Pets and their supplies for long duration. What to do about no water means no flushing...thats gonna be a big one for most i think. And being a mostly life long Hoosier i can only remind folks that seasons change before you know it. Winter isnt as far away as some may think or it could even be a bad one in your area. Whatcha gonna do then?? How about some hints and tips for the elderly that may have disabilities but not much in the line of family or friends that could help them? And remember folks, They didnt get old by being stupid. Some have had to deal with this before. Learn from them! Listen to grandpa's stories, learn how grandma cooked on a wood stove or campfire. Ive rattled on enough. Stay safe everyone and try to look after each other. And good luck to us all. 💜💜☮️

On the solar generator: we purchased the Anker 767 with a 200W panel. Cost? $2300 and some change. Yes, quite a hefty tag...until we broke it down and it equaled 38 eatings out, 7 trips to the picture show and 12 pizza deliveries. These items like generators (and I'd place solar above petrol-powered) are doable when we budget them. I believe they're that important. On the precious metals, I totally agree that the 'bartering stage' for PM's is way down the line when most of us just might not be around anymore due to any number of reasons. It will be trading food, clothing, whatnot for services or other goods first (main reason to get in with a group!). Ag/Au as a basic monetary source will come later. Still, I try to keep around 5% in physical PM's. We skip the storage services. If the plop-plop hits the rotary oscillator, then you just might not be able to take possession of any Au/Ag--it will belong to whomever's warehouse it is in! Good vid as always.

I used to work in a huge grocery store in Colorado. You would not believe how many people would get out at the very beginning of the blizzards in Denver. It is insane. The lines would go all the way from the checkout lanes to the meat and beyond. The shelves would be gone, emptied in a matter of hours. What the stores have in the back....pop, cold cereal and not much more. You have got to prepare for winter. You just do.
