BENEFITS OF ISTIGHFAR ►Istighfar removes anxiety and Du'as are answered. ►Istighfar opens the door of sustenance. ►Istighfar opens the door of mercy. ►Istighfar opens the door of knowledge. ►Istighfar is also gateway of productivity ! ►Istighfar relieves you when you feel that sadness within you, when you are disturbed and frustrated, and also when anxiety surrounds you. Always say Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah… ~~Don’t leave Istighfar A man once came to al-Hasan al-Basri and complained to him: “The sky does not shower us with rain.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness (i.e. say أستغفر ألله).” Then another person came to him and said, “I complain of poverty.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness.” Then another person came to him and complained, “My wife is barren; she cannot bear children.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness.” The people who were present, said to al-Hasan: “Everytime a person came to you complaining, you instructed them to seek Allah’s forgiveness?” Al-Hasan al-Basri said, “Have you not read the statement of Allah? ‘I said “ Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance; increase you in wealth and children; grant you gardens and bestow on you rivers.”‘” [Nuh (71):10-12] There are two things in the earth that give a person safety and security from the punishment of Allah. The first has been removed, whilst the second still remains. As for the first, it was the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). “Allah would not punish them while you were among them.” [al-Anfal (8):33] As for the second, it is istighfar. “Allah would not punish them as long as they sought forgiveness.” [al-Anfal (8):33] أستغفر ألله… أستغفر ألله… أستغفر ألله… Do not ever leave istighfar! Please share and remember that you will receive the reward for all those who make istighfar, due to your reminder. Astaghfirullaaha wa ‘atoobu ‘ilayhi. I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him. (Recite one hundred times during the day) It was reported in Saheeh Muslim that Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said: “I seek forgiveness one hundred times in a day.” [Muslim] Du'a for seeking forgiveness: Dua of Prophet Adam (A.S.) Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa in lam taghfirlana watar hamna lana koonanna minal khasireen [7:23] ”Our Lord ! we have sinned against ourselves and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us, we shall most certainly be lost." رَبَّنا ظَلَمنا أَنفُسَنا وَإِن لَم تَغفِر لَنا وَتَرحَمنا لَنَكونَنَّ مِنَ الخٰسِرينَ [SURAH AL-A`RAF, VERSE 23] Du'a of Yunus (A.S) repenting to Allah in the belly of the whale: “ LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA SUBHAANAKA INNY KUNTU MINATHAULIMEEN” [21:87] “There is none worthy of worship except You. You are pure. Verily I am amongst the oppressors.” [Al-‘Anbya’ 87] Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him) said about the Invocation of Yunus “None who is experiencing difficulty employs it except that Allah would relieve him of his difficulty.” [At-Tirmidhi] Nooh (A.S) asked for the forgiveness of Allaah The Almighty, repenting by saying: Rabbi Inneee A-o’od’u Bika An As-alaka Maa Laysa Lee Bihee I’lm Wa Illaa Taghfirlee Wa Tarh’amneee Akum Minal Khaasireen [11:47] “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers.” (Surat Hūd, 11: 47) We must recite this dua’a to have full faith in the wisdom of Allah under all good and bad circumstances because Allah is all-knowing; and humbly seek His help to keep ourselves on the right path. Say: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni. (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me). Say: Astaghfirullah al-ladhi la ilaha illa huwal hayyul qayyum wa atubu ilayhi It says in hadith, whoever says it seven times his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield. Say: SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi Whoever says it hundred times, his sins will be forgiven even though they may be as much as the foam of the sea. Say: la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah lahul mulku wa lahaul hamdu wa huwa a la kuli shay’in qadeer. And say other forms of repentance that are prescribed by Allah. ALLAH HAS FULL ABILITY TO GIVE YOU ANYTHING YOU WANT! AND ONLY HE (ALLAH) HAS THAT ABILITY. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy. If His servant raises his hands to Him (in supplication). He becomes shy to return them empty.” [Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi]

There are two main questions: 1- what if someone asks you for money and you can help him out, but he himself was an excessive spender which led him into getting in the financial distress that he's in. Are you still a bad person for not helping him out?? 2- and what if the person asking you for money is not an excessive spender and he really does need money to manage his distress and you can help him out, but you deprived yourself from many things (like marriage, having kids, eating out, buying nice things, etc.) that the person asking you for help did not deprive himself of, just to save money for other goals in life... are you still a bad person for not helping out?? Would it not be better if all financially capable muslims donated money to charity institutions and then those institutions distributed the donations on needy people?? I mean this is way more comfortable and stress-free for the muslim giving the donation as well as for the muslim asking for or in need of the donation.

Salaam Alaikum.. . Not answering yur question.. . But wat yu have mentioned can be a great idea for a kind of community fund centres.. . So one in need of help is not embarrassed asking en somewhere paying it back would be rising a sense of responsibility too if he/she has been an excessive spender.. . I would be willing to work on such a project.. . Salaam.. .

Just sharing my take on it...I think there's a reason why Allah teaches us to prioritize on our giving/spending habit i.e. close relations first. Just like dakwah efforts. It's a really difficult challenge for me (because we know them on a personal level). But let's do it like Allah wants so that we can claim to be the people who hear and obey. I also think that Quran and this passage is all about balance, and we know deep in our hearts where to draw the line (hence the ayat on "going out of your way to avoid them" plus the example of hand to the neck pr outstretched). I can relate to your first question but I'm also afraid that it's the devil that's whispering. So what I think I will do instead is to find out what necessity that he needs and settle it for him, without money going through his hands. Please forgive me if I misunderstood your situation. May Allah strengthen us together.

Regarding your last paragraph : The essence of charity would be lost if we could just do a few clicks online and boom, they have the money. Wouldn't you be humbled if you went to a poverty-stricken town and personally gave them a box of clothes and food? Also, not everyone trusts online charity companies, Islamic or not.

However, we need to draw the line when others want the money for luxuries and not for necessities. I guess we can deny in that case? IMO, this is what I do, even within my family when they want the Indian wedding, whereas the Islamic wedding is a simple one, hopefully with the Covid-19 situation people understand this point.

The guiding principle is that you don't give to them instead you give for you. Once the money leaves your hand, it is not yours any longer and so it is none of your business what they spend it on. If you are comfortable that you have given with a good niyyat then you will get the reward for that intention. I remember when I was in Egypt a few years ago, I saw a man who gave with such grace and dignity, I greatly admired his calm and peaceful demeanour and I also always give to the disabled.

Humm, bro NOUMAN, was taking about, those in need truly, asking for help. But these ones am talking about, they might be skillfull or ganglord. If they are, am enhancing, promoting them to do more. Like they hire a baby, and goes begging , like if a child doesn't bring money, they broke their leg, so that you have pity. I would like to be rightly guided. My heart hurts, and I don't know what to do, noodling my head and bowing down to them. While I could have helped them.
@noraelhorri9132

Don't think about it too much , because once you start judging people and guessing their motifs you'll never find the one to give. e give charity for us seeking god's pleasure. whatever other people do with it is not our business. It's obvious that we don't give charity for people who are undeserving of it. My country has the same problem. But as the person who gives you will not loose Ajr because that person is acting as long as you don't know that yourself. We give charity because we need good deeds Allah didn't tell has to run background check on every one you give charity to Because if we go by the other way, other people who sincerely need charity aren't given it because people think they are acting .

@@noraelhorri9132 OK I understand, suppose one is taking the money (sadakah or zakat) to finance a terrorist group or buy black magic stuff, is it not my obligation to know where is my going too be!!! @@daizdaiz843 I agree with you. First of all when you give zalat or Sada9a our first intention is not how much it will benefit the person or how much it will multiply We give it for the sake of Allah and we shouldn't even ask them for duaa because that contradicts the concept. Whatever happens after god is willing to put more good deeds for you if your charity led to other good things and doesn't hold you responsible if the person decides to act on bad things using that money, this is mainly for people who look and act poor so based on what you see or hear you decided to give them charity. On another note what you mentioned is mainly about the big organisation that hold fundraiser for the sake of helping others in need. I agree with the fact that one should cautious and truly know what these associations or organisms do with their money, here there's a chance that the whole thing is a facade and the motives for the fundraising are not entirely pure. I too only give charity online or to organisms that I fully trust their motives. Otherwise may God guide us for the best path and helps us do more good deeds. I salute your intention to look into this more may Allah guide you.

Allah forgive A person I know of has automatically inherited everything they have never worked a day in their lives. Spoilt rotten uses Hadith to justify their behaviour. They don’t realise how blessed they are Ppl use and abuse their authority over others never allow them to progress in their lives selfishness sheer greed Causing constant drama within the family.
