Unlike Hoover, Edna actually loved teaching students. When she complained to Skinner, it was the lack of budget of the school and equipment she can use to teach. She gave Bart a chance by giving him a passing grade. A one step closer to become the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. My only wish was she should've hooked up with Ned earlier. Edna deserved happiness.

This is probably the first timeline of any show you’ve done that made me a little misty eyed at the end. Marcia Wallace was one of the funniest and talented voice actors and WOMEN of all time! They made the right choice with her character I kind of wish they did the same for Russi Taylor’s characters. They did Edna right in so many ways, when watching as a kid, she was that tough teacher who you always thought was out to get you, but watching again as an adult, you can see she was always coming from a place of genuine care and wanting to teach. At my job I teach new hires, and try to remember if I can get through to one person, it's a success. Edna is an inspiration to all on why you should never give up on the 'loser' because they may end up surprising you and everyone when they find that stride!

Retiring her character was the best thing they could do for Edna. Just like Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure, she wouldn't have been the same with a different voice. Edna Krabappel was such a wonderful character in this series! She’s not my favorite character because I don’t have any favorite characters in this series because I like all of them, every single character in the Simpsons series but since Edna was one of the most famous characters and most beautiful women in this series, I’m terribly shocked that she’s gone !! ! And I’m really upset about her for two reasons: That she didn’t marry Principal Seymour Skinner (because I consider her and Edna a better, more lovely couple than Edna and Flanders and I’ve never supported, respected their marriage and I hope I could divorce it and bring Edna Krabappel together with Principal Skinner) and because she's dead !! And then when I get it, and hopefully I’ll get enough feel and courage to make videos, I’m going to make a kind of commemorative video in honor of Edna Krabappel, that beloved character in the Simpsons universe, a teacher whose voice actress Marcia Wallace didn’t look very fussy about but a rather ugly and harsh-looking woman, unlike the character she played, who was like a miracle of heaven, a real angel, though only a fictional character, in the reality of an animation series. And when will I do it? Well, ten years after the tragic and sad departure of our beloved teacher character and his voice actor, sometime in 2023!
